Gloriously located in the centre of a peaceful rural village in the beautiful and unspoilt Ceiriog Valley, this charming, detached coach house conversion offers supremely comfortable and spacious accommodation within the grounds of the former rectory. The bathroom has a wonderful rain shower and outside, magnificent views down the valley can be savoured from the pretty raised terrace. The Coach House also has a small balcony and a courtyard herb garden.
The village boasts two award-winning gastronomic country pubs. There is wonderful walking - the Berwyn Mountains are on the doorstep and Snowdonia is within easy reach - also bird watching and pony trekking. Chirk, an historic border town, has a good selection of shops, a magnificent castle (National Trust) and the 19th-century Telford aqueduct, whilst Llangollen’s steam trains, horse-drawn canal boat trips and world famous music Eisteddfod are within easy reach. Shop 5 miles, pubs serving food 100 yards.

Summary: Everything was of a very good standard and extremely well equipped. The view from the lounge/kitchen was superb and it was a pleasure to sit outside and soak in the beauty of the Welsh Hills. The pubs were just a few paces away from the accommodation and the food and drink at The Hand was excellent. Very friendly staff.

Summary: The Coach House was perfect. The location is idyllic, with an amazing view from the first floor sitting area. The heating was on for when we arrived, which was very welcoming!! Really comfy stay, well equipped, slept really well!! The Hand pub is literally at the bottom of the drive, the food is amazing. Lots to do in the local area, Pistyll Rhaeadr is highly recommended. Summary: We don’t really want everyone to know how lovely this place is as we want it to remain unspoilt! It is remote and there are no local shops but a great pub across the road serves really good food. The cottage is cosy, but the bed a bit soft for us. Summary: We have visited The Coach House on multiple occasions now and we just love it. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the views from the cottage and the surrounding area are absolutely magnificent. There are 2 pubs within a very short walk of the cottage, both of which serve excellent food (The Hand being our favourite). Although there is no mobile phone signal, the Wi-Fi is excellent and there is a landline at the cottage if needed.
