1 Bedroom Cottage in South Redondo, Redondo Beach

The Cottage in the Garden is located behind our South Redondo home in a residential neighborhood. There is a private spa located at the rear of the property. We are a 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach, or a quick ride on one of our complimentary bikes.
On entering the Cottage one has the impression they are in a mountain cabin. There are vintage skis and a sled mounted on knotty pine walls. While there is no kitchen, there is a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and dishes. Enjoy breakfast in the Cottage, or sitting on the deck. One can hear birds singing, the bubbling fountain, and the gentle ringing of chimes.
After breakfast don your shorts, grab towels, beach chairs, a picnic lunch, and head to the beach. Walk barefoot in the sand. Ride bikes from Torrance to Santa Monica. Head to the Redondo Beach Pier, a short distance away. The Pier offers water activities, souvenir shops, restaurants and photo opportunities.
Later return to the Cottage to get refreshed. Watch the birds splash in the bird bath, the hummingbirds feed on the fuschias, and enjoy the late afternoon breeze. Or, read a good book from our bookcase while sitting in the recliner, or the glider.
It is then time to think about dinner, but first, return to the beach to watch a spectacular sunset. Afterward head to the Riviera Village for dinner. After dinner it is back to the Cottage to star gaze while sitting in the relaxing spa. Finish your day in our comfy down bed.

Summary: My boyfriend and I wished we could have stayed longer, but we loved our stay. Everything was just as described and we were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property if you're in the Redondo Beach area.

Summary: Really enjoyed the stay. The cottage was in a beautiful garden that felt far from LA busyness. Pam and Bill were excellent hosts, and provided lots of info and a pleasant experience. Loved the location, went to the beaches, farmers market, coffee, restaurants. Highest recommendations.

Summary: Pam’s cottage was a perfect place for our visit to Torrance/ Redondo Beach! The cottage was very cute and comfortable for the two of us. The garden setting was beautiful and a great place to enjoy our morning coffee. We would definitely recommend the cottage and would stay here again!

Summary: Thanks so much to Pam and Bill for being the perfect hosts! The cottage listing details was exactly what we found... Very clean, quiet and has everything you need. The cottage is a few blocks from the beach, but it is walkable or you can ride the bikes provided if you don’t want to Pay for parking. Pam has coolers, beach bags, towels and beach chairs for your use. We used the hot tub a couple nights and it was a perfect end to a busy day. From their place it was a nice drive to Malibu, Huntington Beach, Disney or Sofi stadium, all which we visited during our stay. One of our favorite days was riding the bikes from Redondo Beach, up to Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. We stopped along the way to look in shops, and then treated ourselves on the return trip to happy hour margaritas, chips and queso at the Redondo Beach pier! We appreciated the suggestions from Pam and Bill and hope to visit again next year! Thank you for helping us have a great vacation!
