Summary: A nice clean comfortable hotel. The only deal breaker for me, which I did not realise at the time of booking, is that they do not serve breakfast. If this were to change in the future I would happily use the hotel again.

Summary: The room was a bit old fashioned but very clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and very eager to make our stay enjoyable. I would stay again.

Summary: For us it was very much a functional pit-stop that was good value for money compared to the increasingly expensive competition. The hotel and room is fairly tired & basic but was quiet and what we needed.

Summary: Stayed in suite as a treat which with constructive criticism is in need of some tlc. Spa bath needs filter cleaned as black contamination coming out when in use. Room is tired and carpet has a variety of stains and decor very stained dated and in need of update,mattress renewal required. Hotel is under new ownership and while the team are trying there are things that could be improved. Breakfast was basic English with bacon, eggs, sausage beans, tomato and mushroom.no alternative ie toast, cereal etc. tried to get dinner and was informed that they were not serving dinner so had to elsewhere.Returned to the bar after going out for food to be informed that the kitchen had now opened. Not the best if trying to get a business built up. The new owners did speak with us explaining the take over and the work that had been done to reopen the hotel. With continued investment and learning hopefully they can bring it back to the lovely hotel it used to be or even better.On the plus side staff very friendly and welcoming in all areas.
