Enjoy this newly renovated family owned barn surrounded by beautiful pine trees and spectacular views of the Adirondack mountains and Lake Algonquin. This cabin house sleeps 6 people with 2 double beds and 2 twin in the loft All new bedroom floors and comfortable sleeping. A fishing boardwalk is just across the road,. where you can swim or kayak We put up a new deck to sit at night and enjoy the lake and mountain views.You can go canoeing, jet skiing, water skiing and swimming. Enjoy beautiful walks or a bike ride around the lake The beach is 1/4 mile up the road with 2 life guards on duty.. Scenic hikes, great fishing, tennis courts at the community hall and a new playground. Summer fun is endless,and in a quiet tranquil town setting. We have two local convenience stores The Hamilton Mercantile and Wells Edge.
This cabin is self catering and has all the settings of a peaceful tranquil vacation spot. If you're looking for some quiet time and want to relax this is the place for you and your family. Enjoy the view from the window as the deer walk by or feed off a nearby tree. This is why we call our place 'The Good Life'. Enjoy sitting outside by a campfire or roast marshmallows while watching the sun go down. Wells may be a small community , but is filled with its beauty and charm. Other attractions close by are Gore, Oak Mtn.. ski centers, Lapland cross country and Garnett Lake. Speculator NY is 20 minutes North of Wells and offers many coffee shops, a gas station, restaurants, grocery store, a beach, hiking, and more. A new Camp store has just open in Lake Pleasant also.
Griffin gorge is a great swimming spot with many beautiful views of the mountains. The Whitehouse which takes you to a hiking trail ending in Lake Placid, Panther mountain. in Piseco and Chimney Mountain. in Indian Lake are the best hiking trails for your adventure. You can take a nice day trip to Saratoga NY for some horse racing or shopping, or North to Glens Falls for a day of Outlet shopping, A little more adventurous and summer fun, a day at the Great Escape in Lake George where you can visit Wax museums or take the kids on a cruise on the lake. We will provide you with the pamplets you need to find all the fun activities you are looking for. .You can head south to Northville where a new Stewart's shop has opened. There are several places to dine. .

Summary: We loved being greeted by Debbie when we pulled in. The cabin was so clean! It is a welcoming, cozy place in a great location for exploring The Adirondacks. Kitchen is well stocked—we found everything we needed. The fire pit and deck were wonderful. We would come back for sure!

Summary: Our second time here was just as lovely as the first! Cozy cabin with tons of blankets, towels, fans, nightlights, and mountain decor touches. Very clean. The owners are thoughtful and attentive. Great view of the lake! We highly recommend this cabin!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy and very clean. We We were looking for a relaxing weekend. Sitting on the deck or around the fire pit with the view of the lake was just what we were looking for. Our host Debbie was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend the good life cabin and will be returning soon.

Summary: We stayed for 3 nights and went to Gore skiing which is 30 min away. The cabin was perfect and had everything we could need. The owner is very helpful and has really done a great job maintaining the cozy cabin. There is a beautiful view of the lake and we even did some sledding in the yard. We went to the alpine for dinner one night wich is 5 min away for a great meal and drinks. All in all we would love to stay there again as it is a great value for what you get

Summary: We had such a great time at Debbie's property. Everything seemed fairly new and very clean compared to typical lakehouses. It had plenty of amenities and great extras to make s'mores! Debbie was incredibly communicative and a gracious host. The location was great and lots of information and recommendations were provided about the area. Couldn't have asked for a better property!
