Why drive for hours when a great vacation is so close?
Welcome to Whispering Pines Wells with its own private association sandy beach that is just a three minute walk away. This is a four season getaway retreat that is outfitted and furnished with the vacationer in mind.
The first floor has a fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area, a living room with flat screen tv and a freestanding gas fireplace, a bedroom
with a queen size bed and a bathroom with a tub and a shower, as well as a washer and dryer.
The upper level has a loft area with a twin bed and a desk, and a master bedroom that features a queen size bed. There is also a half bath on the second floor.
A large front deck and a screen porch adds outdoor living space in the warmer months & has a porch glider, balcony chairs and a patio table.
There is a fire pit for your evening enjoyment. A gas grill is also available for you to use.
And guests will be able to enjoy central air conditioning, for those sultry nights that we now experience in the Southern Adirondacks. Central heat is there for the winter months.
We are no longer able to provide sheets and towels. Guests will need to bring their own.
In the summer and fall, there are many hikes in the area to waterfalls, mountain tops and the Northville-Lake Placid Trail. A great bike ride is the 3.5 mile loop around the lake and through the town. In the spring, you can go fishing in the lake or one of many nearby rivers. In the winter months, it is only 20 minutes to Lapland Lakes cross-country skiing, 20 minutes to Oak Mountain and 40 minutes to Gore Mountain.
Inside Whispering Pines you will find 500 mbps fiber internet with WiFi, YouTube TV, a blu-ray player, MANY streaming channels as well as books, games and puzzles.
There is a fully outfitted kitchen with a k-cup coffee maker, a drip coffee maker, crock pot and a blender. Outside there is a large flat yard, and many outdoor chairs for enjoying the fire pit.
We have FOUR kayaks, a 15' canoe and a Sunfish sailboat, with all the accessories. There are carts for transporting the watercraft the short two minute trip to the launching area.
In the small town of Wells, we have a couple of general stores and a new, quite excellent, coffee cafe. At the Town Green, there are tennis/pickle ball courts, basketball hoops and a playground.
We enjoy the Southern Adirondacks and have been vacationing in this area since we were children. For a long time, it has been a dream of ours to own a home on a lake and in the mountains. Our hope is to share our good fortune with families like you, who want to enjoy the fun and excitement of Lake Algonquin and all the magic that this region offers, but then want to retreat to the whispering pines, to reflect on the day, and dream about tomorrow.

Summary: My friend and I go away once a year to a cabin in the woods. This house was a beautiful, perfect setup for the both of us. The recliners were so comfy to read by the fire and the kitchen was a great set up for cooking the food we brought.

Summary: My husband, son and son's GF came up to go snowmobiling. (My 1st time). The location was convenient for us in relation to the rental place. House was clean, cozy, cute and quiet. There is a fair amount of traffic, but you only really notice it because of the passing headlights. Glad we only had one vehicle as the driveway is small. However this could also be due to the amount of snow in the area. Owners were very nice! We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
