Positive: Very quiet location - relaxing and not too far from Mudgee. Lots of birds around for my bird photography. With the added bonus of having a colony of microbats living behind the shingles on the front porch, which we watched leaving the porch at night and returning in the early morning. This is probably not to everyone's liking but we like nature and wildlife. Cottage was very clean. Loved being able to have our dog with us.
Negative: Toilet had a funky smell after flushing. Most likely due to the water source being used for the toilet cistern, not due to a lack of cleaning. Note that the drinking water and shower water were both fine.
Summary: Great quiet cottage in the country.

Positive: The property is nice, love the bath up outside! Probably better close to winter time when itโ€™s not many bugs around. But over all good and nice romantic stay. We also brought bug spray to limit bugs biting us. Quiet great place for couple and clean. Nice view. Great place around.
Negative: The hot water and cold water (sink) is seperate tap, make it hard to have warm water when washing hand/ dishes. The check in is 3 pm check out 10am, usually 11am check out would be better. You also need to throwaway your own rubbish outside like literally you need to drive out, open the big bin with lock and throw rubish outside there. Make your hand dirty before check out. Like..whatโ€™s the point paying much and they donโ€™t even want to throw the rubbish. Pretty much need to clean everything by ourselves but the check out is 10 am check in 3 pm as they need time to โ€œcleanโ€. Throwaway the rubbish outside the house would be more acceptable but need to drive out and asked us to throwaway so far away is a bit weird after paying $300 a night.
