Peacefully tucked away in Mudgee's countryside, โ€˜Wilpineโ€™ offers an expansive escape from the hustle and bustle, with easy access to town and the surrounding cellar doors. Immersed in nature, multiple alfresco areas encourage your group to spend time outside. With a fully fenced yard, make use of the sparkling private pool, grill up an Aussie feast on the BBQ, dine on the undercover patio, or gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows.
Inside the main house, you'll find a light-filled living room complete with a sofa, armchairs and a cosy fireplace to keep you warm while you enjoy a movie. Split system air-conditioning and heating ensure year-round comfort. An additional living area can be found beside the stunning timber kitchen, fully equipped for your holiday catering. Dine together at the 12-seater table, or take things slow up at the breakfast bar. A north-facing sun room allows you to cosy up with your favourite novel on plush lounges while soaking up poolside views. The separate, self-contained cottage offers a second living room with a fireplace, a compact kitchen and a dining area where you can work remotely.
Six beautifully furnished bedrooms sleep 12 guestsโ€”all equipped with heating and cooling for comfortable sleep. There are four in the main houseโ€”three with queen-size beds and one with two singlesโ€”while two bedrooms in the cottage each offer queen beds. The main home features two bathrooms, each equipped with boutique toiletries. One offers a luxurious freestanding bath, while the other is fitted with a shower and in-unit laundry. A third contemporary bathroom can be found in the cottage.
The property is equipped with Starlink; however, the internet signal and phone service are not reliable in the area. The cottage will encourage you to disconnect and absorb the scenery with bush walking tracks towards a nearby dam. Please note, the Wi-Fi signal in the cottage is limited. Summary: Pros:Kitchen/Entertaining area was spacious & functional,Pool was a Godsend especially with young onesCons:Kitchen is very tired looking. Cupboards & drawers need replacing,Pool filtering system is ugly & needs to be closed in,Lawns could have been mowed & edges done. Generally looked untidy,Internal sliding door in bedroom adjacent to laundry needs fixing,With a group stay a 2 bread toaster doesnโ€™t do the job,Not enough pantry space for groceries etc

Summary: PROS: Wilpine is set in a great location, good access to the town centre and surrounding vineyards. We spent three nights over a long weekend for a family wedding, and stayed at Wilpine with three family groups. The property is spacious and great for accommodating a large group. It is a well equipped property that has everything you would need for a short stay. CONS: However, the property and surrounding gardens and yard are in need of some maintenance and a facelift. Our honest opinion of arriving was one of shock, we did not feel that the photos and description we had seen online when making our booking matched the current reality of the property. The property is comfortable however definitely not in the 'luxury' category (however, we definitely paid a luxury price tag for our stay). The property was clean, however there was a large dead mouse on the floor outside one of the bedrooms. We were able to enjoy our weekend and have been liasing with the property manager and owner regarding our feedback. As referenced above, a very comfortable property to spend time with a large group, however we would place this property at around 3 stars rather than in the luxury category.
