Positive: Everything was perfect! We got a very warm welcome by the host, Patrick. The unit we stayed was very clean & equipped with a private bathroom. We're from Malaysia and all the heating equipment in the room is purely life saver during winter! View and location? Perfect! Beach is just across the street - you'll sleep and wake up with a stunning view. Food? Perfect! Patrick prepared breakfast for his guests and we were served in his dining room, and you eat with another view :) Bread made by Patrick and cookies made by Mary-Clare are amazing too! Price is a bit on the high side, if we're visiting Kaikoura in the near future, we'll definitely go with this place again. It was nice meeting you, Patrick - and thanks for your hospitality!

Positive: The location and view were spectacular. The seal colony was a short drive up the highway and the centre a short walk. Our hosts were hospitable and engaging, volunteering local knowledge to help make our trip more fulfilling.

Positive: Continental breakfast with a variety of options with welcoming host and great conversations . Mountainous views , great for walking along the beach and only a 1 mile from local shops, cafes and restaurants.
Summary: Fabulous couple of days with a whale watching Kaikōura trip ! That’s a must!

Negative: While it was nice joining others for breakfast and the hosts were lovely, booking B&B accommodation wasn’t the best choice for us due to personal reasons
