Positive: The location was great. The housekeeping were clean, the staff was friendly.

Negative: The first room I had on the bottom floor was musty. They were very quick to allow me to change rooms and I was very grateful. The only issue that arose with that, they mentioned “yes that is common “ the must scent on the bottom floor. With that being said, perhaps not assign that room Until the problem is fixed.

Positive: We loved the general area that the hotel is located in. Very close to the beach and some shops/restaurants. The staff were always super kind to us! Second year staying there and we will definitely be back again.

Positive: The location of the hotel - right on waterfront. The makeup of the hotel - simple, beachside design with comfortable room meant for days spent on beach, out shopping, dining at Cape May's great restaurant offerings. The rooftop lounge - great for book reading on overcast days and then a glass of wine at twilight with full ocean views The guaranteed parking spot in the hotel's lot on the next street. The highly affordable cost as compared to other CM hotel properties.

Negative: The rooms smelled of mildew which I resolved quickly with a $5 container of CVS Total Home Room Freshener Gel. The property owner can either deploy similar to the rooms or, better yet, clean the source of the mildew. The pillows are of poor quality and did little to provide suitable support even when doubling or tripling. Owner needs to make an investment here as I'd be very happy to incur the cost on to my room rate. The other guests passing in front of our room as they walked by to get to/from their room - this is actually a simple fact of how this hotel is designed with its wraparound stairway...just take a look at the pics and you'll understand. Just be aware that unless you get a corner unit, you will have to be willing to accept this occuring from time to time. This is why when we return, we will be requesting a corner unit!

Summary: Our first stay at The Heritage Inn but definitely not out our last! We'll see you again in 2025!

Positive: This location is excellent - convenient to the boardwalk (the unboardwalk) and Stockton Beach. Rooms were very clean and freshly painted. Bathroom recently remodeled. The management was very nice and helpful.

Negative: I would like to have been on the first floor. Although I dan do them, the steps were tough. Also on the second floor, the people above us had “lead feet”.

Summary: Heritage Inn was enjoyable - 1st time there; 74th year in Cape May.
