Priestley House is a distinguished nineteenth century town house on the handsome Georgian thoroughfare of Bootham close to York City Walls, Minster and Railway Station. The location is second to none being a few minutes' stroll from York city centre's amenities, museums, galleries and recreational spaces including the riverside and botanical gardens.
A smart entrance gives private access to the maisonette on the upper first and second floors from which cityscape views can be enjoyed towards Bootham Bar and the Minster's central tower, the highest point in York. Newly refurbished throughout in October 2021 its interiors are luxuriously appointed, stylish and very much on trend, blending period and contemporary pieces. Built into the precinct walls of an old Benedictine Abbey, its private balcony provides guests with unbroken south facing views across York Art Gallery, and ‘Edible Wood' in the Museum Gardens.
Comfortably designed for up to six guests the maisonette provides generous living space with a dining table that seats six as well as a breakfast bar for two in the contemporary, fitted kitted. The bedrooms have king or double beds with sumptuous mattresses, all of which are UK manufactured, and the principal bedroom is generously sized with a period features and en suite shower room. Summary: We had a lovely few days stay at Priestley House. The property is superb throughout, real quality. The central location is excellent and the city centre is a short stroll away. The free car parking space nearby is a real bonus too.

Summary: Please take me back!!!!! well where do i start , this was a trip for the four of us to experience a different Christmas to go away instead of being at home . Our boys are 15 and 16 and it was a big leap of faith. We arrived on Dec 23rd and the accommodation was so comfortable, tidy, and so cosy with heating that made the place a luxury always so warm after being out all day. Our rooms were pristine and the kitchen was just perfect. This beautiful property is so close to the main York attractions and parking only took 20 mins to find a space so close we could check on the car if needed. It has made our Christmas 2024 and memories very special, thankyou so much x

Summary: Priestly House is the ideal house to stay in York. It's location makes for easy access to the station, Minster, Theatres, Betty's and the Ivy all less than a 10 minute walk away. Lovely accommodation with comfortable beds and nice clean fresh linen and towels. Sainsbury's local just across the road and lots of bars and restaurants very close by too. We had a lovely stay and would be keen to return I'd recommend this property to others.

Summary: This apartment was perfect for our stay. It is decorated to a lovely standard inside, each of the beds were very comfy. Perfect location, just a short walk from everything really. Parking was provided which was ideal. The lady's I dealt with throughout the stay were so helpful.
