Positive: What is not to like. From opening the door everything was perfect. The settee is very comfortable - important to relax fully. The bed - oh wow - perfect and the pillows (we wanted to pinch them and keep them! JOKING.) The bathroom and the shower was perfect - lovely temp / easy to use. The toiletries were so right with super soft towels and dressing gowns. Lots of games , books and DVDs were supplied - oh I wish I could stay 1 month!! We've never stayed in a place where the kitchen had all the bits you need to make that meal special. Everything in the kitchen was spotless and a delight to use. The windows both in the kitchen opened outward and it was great to hear the birds in the morning and night. The property is behind locked electric gates accessed via a code - so safe and peaceful. During our first night we walked left to the top of the lane to observe some deer but although we went every evening we didn't see them again. The pub just around the corner was lovely to sit in the beer garden. Serena you are a super host. We both feel we've known you all our lives. If we're in the area we definitely will return. If you're ever in Yorkshire please let's meet up. A visit to the bridge Pooh played Sticks 👍 Rye 👍 Great Dixter Gardens 👍 Maria's Cafe - fantastic cooked breakfast 👍

Positive: We had the most perfect post wedding retreat come mini- moon. The Nest was the perfect sanctuary - every detail thoughtfully considered . I particularly loved the generous bath and spectacular taps ! The decor was very tasteful - I felt as if I was in a spacious luxury treehouse . The views were a joy - the tranquility of the surroundings gave much needed respite . Serena couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. She ensured that the space was immaculate throughout but with a warmth and attention to detail that made it feel like home from home . Thankyou - we’d love to come back . Colette and Andy X

Positive: A superb property with a very comfortable bed and very nice ensuite with a powerful shower. Delightful downstairs kitchen with everything you need for a weekend away, as well as a secret garden outside.
Negative: The weather.

Positive: The Nest was beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and well thought out to give us plenty of space in a small area. The bathroom was lovely, great shower, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of information on the local area in the house. We recommend the pub, just up the lane - good food and friendly staff, and the Indian restaurant, Hathi, a couple of miles away. We had a lovely stay 😊

Positive: We liked ....the artistic decor and modern furnishings ( our host Sereena is a professonal) We loved the surroundings /views of Sereena's pretty leafy natural garden and the local woods. A clever purpose built living space above a large garage.
Negative: We were surprised to discover that our accommodation was only accessible UP a steep outside wooden staircase, with awkward access. ( We are 2 agile over 80's!!) As we were staying 5 nights Sereena kindly installed an additional support by the stairs to make access easier. Also the ground level galley kitchen was only accessible by stairs DOWN from the living area on the upper floor.
Summary: Elegant, very comfortable rural accommodation, with a friendly host.

Positive: Superb location, a quiet countryside lane and yet just a very short walk to an excellent pub with a beautiful garden. The Nest had absolutely everything we needed, it was spotless, compact and very comfortable. It was definitely a home away from home. Forest walks were right on our doorstep, the whole area is blessed with beautiful parks, lanes and villages. There are loads of great pub meals to be had in the area and we even found some excellent coffee nearby. Our host Serena was very helpful, she really made us feel welcome and was full of great ideas for things to do.
