The Peter Bay Honeymoon Suite is a romantic 1BR/1BA villa overlooking the breathtaking Caribbean panoramas of St. John's north shore. Located at the exclusive gated community of Peter Bay Estate, the Peter Bay Honeymoon Suite occupies the lower level of the Peter Bay Gatehouse Villa which consists of two 1BRs. The lower level suite is the Honeymoon Suite, and the upper level suite is the Penthouse Suite. Each suite is private, and self-contained with separate entrances. The Penthouse Suite, and the Honeymoon Suite can each accommodate an additional two guests in the living room queen sleeper sofa. Both the Honeymoon Suite and the Penthouse Suite can be rented together as a 2BR / 2BA.
At the Peter Bay Honeymoon suite, you are surrounded by the pristine turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and emerald green hills known as St. John's north shore. From the spacious balcony and living room and your views from the Peter Bay Honeymoon Suite are exquisite, and very special.
The Peter Bay Gatehouse, architecturally designed in the old-world style of a 17th century Danish Mill Tower, as seen at the Annaberg & Catherineberg historical sites, is a St. John landmark as the historical period Gatehouse is located at the gate entrance to the exclusive Peter Bay Estate community, overlooking the majestic U.S. & British Virgin Islands.
Within this Danish Tower design, The Honeymoon Suite is a spacious 1000 sq ft. 1BR/1BA designed in old-world elegance. The comfortable living room, and large exterior balcony look out to the magnificent Caribbean. The lovely bedroom with its curved walls taking on the circular shape of the exterior mill design has a romantic, king size four poster bed. There is a full kitchen with a breakfast bar, and alfresco dining on the ocean view balcony with a dining table for 4. Summary: We were pleased with the excellent location, beautiful views from the spacious veranda and lovely private beach. The property manager and owner were very responsive, and we appreciated being met at the ferry. However, during a hard rain the first night, we had puddles in the bedroom and bathroom and the bathroom counter was soaked. Per the owner, this can happen occasionally with heavy rains, but we were not warned ahead of time. In addition, the indoor space would benefit from a refresh, including better/more inviting lighting and patching/painting a wall with cracks in the bedroom.

Summary: Our stay at the Gate House was perfection. The view was to die for. The location was perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all. Richard was a wonderful host. We’ve travelled all around the Caribbean, and this instantly became our favorite place.

Summary: The Honeymoon Suite was wonderful. The location is perfect: 10 minutes away from Cruz Bay and mere minutes from wonderful beaches, surrounded by lush vegetation and birds and tree frogs. Definitely a place to return to.

Summary: If you want a hilltop stay on St. John with incredible views and top notch accommodations then this is a great choice. Its pretty easy to find, only about 15 min from town and within a very short drive of a number of exquisite Caribbean beaches. The place itself is nicely furnished, has a great deck, serviceable, well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathroom, the bed is comfortable and parking is straightforward. It is expensive so make sure that walking to the beach is not a big factor for you, because in this place you are paying for a great view from high above the beach. The beach at Peter Bay is best reached by driving downhill to get as close as you as you can get and then there is a walk of 5 min or so on a pretty beat up path. We instead mostly opted to drive the 2 min to Trunk Bay as our go to beach. Yes its got an entry fee but it is flat out gorgeous, not crowded when we were there in October, and the snorkeling is pretty good as well.

Summary: This was our first trip to St. John for our honeymoon and our stay was amazing. The listing will entice you, but the real thing is breathtaking and beyond our expectations. The Honeymoon Suite is well equipped, spacious, and you’ll be continuously mesmerized by the view of Peter Bay, Cinnamon Bay beach, and Maho Bay beach from your large, private porch. Tommy was a wonderful host and made everything so much easier when we arrived. He helped with orienting us to the property, but also provided helpful information on navigating our way around. The location is very private, but not far from any of the island you want to explore. We would recommend renting a jeep/car if staying here for convenience of getting around anytime you want, plus it’s fun to drive on the left side of the road. We would love to come back someday to celebrate an anniversary or just a getaway. Thank you Richard and Tommy for making our honeymoon incredible.
