Positive: The cutest cabin with a wonderful view. Extremely well thought through with everything you’ll need. Comfy bed. Lots of sitting outside options. Didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub, sadly. Shower was excellent. Loo was amazing, never seen one like it before, but an excellent idea. Loved the clear blinds around the decking, made sitting outside even when raining pleasant.
Negative: Some might find the traffic noise from the main road a little distracting
Summary: Fantastic hideaway. Havelock is a wee gem

Positive: Cute cottage with great views. Short walk to Havelock centre and marina. Surprisingly warm and cosy. Interesting self-contained bathroom and toilet. Dark sky and stars from deck.
Negative: Noise from trucks on main road below the cottage.

Positive: A wonderful view. We liked sitting out in the enclosed deck to have a cuppa after our journey. The Petite suite contained everything we needed for our one night stay. It was convenient, comfortable and delightfully decorated. Charming!
Negative: What we weren't quite prepared for was the traffic noise, especially trucks in the early morning. Earplugs were useful!

Positive: The situation was wonderful: set on the side of the hill overlooking the water. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was pristine. The deck was a beautiful place to sit on a fine day and the chairs on the deck were very comfortable. Everything - bed linen, utensils, towels were all of good quality and couldn't have been cleaner. The host washed our dishes for us every day and left them back inside. It was close to the town centre so no need to take the car out when we went for dinner in the evenings.
Negative: We didn't like the fact that you could see daylight where the roof of the structure met the walls at the corners. We didn't like the fact that the room was extremely small and the fact that if you wanted water you had to go outside onto the deck and then into the bathroom. The room was so small that there was no space for a chair so the only place to sit inside was on the bed. I know it is advertised as "Petite" but for us older folk it was a bit too petite. Having to go outside and then into the bathroom in the middle of the night was inconvenient. The driveway is extremely narrow and at an angle to the road so it is awkward to get a car of any size in off the road.
Summary: Beautiful situation in good weather but just too small for us.
