The Shouse is a beautifully converted 3/4 bedroom house, originally a shed, located on the ridge of a 25 acre property with breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. The property is accessible via a fully sealed private road that winds its way through the natural bush setting, approximately 500m from the house. The road opens up to park-like surrounds with level grass area that abuts sandstone seawalls on the magnificent Hawkesbury River. The riverfront is landscaped with private boat ramp, parking for car and trailer, BBQ picnic facilities, and a toilet. Kayaks and life jackets are available, and you can even bring your ski boat by arrangement, ramp fee applies.
The Shouse features a master bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite, while the remaining two bedrooms feature queen beds. Additionally, the upstairs lounge can be converted into another bedroom, with 2 single beds, providing a total sleeping capacity of 8 people.
The property also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and even a coffee machine that grinds fresh beans. You can bring your favourite coffee beans or enjoy the beans provided. Each bedroom has its own TV and ceiling fan, while the living areas have Chromecast and NBN Wi-Fi. Summary: 7 of us stayed at the Shouse, attending hotrod nationals at Hawksbury showground. it was an easy 20 min drive. beautiful location to come home to and relax. highly recommend.

Summary: Excellent large house to look after 6 people. Well manicured lawn and view to Blue mountains & sunset every night. Easy access to water for a a boat (which we did!) with a tarred road. Plenty of parking. Awesome outside entertainment area where we cooked up a feast every night on the BBQ. Highly recommend if you want a weekend away on the water.

Summary: Cathy and Terry were great with communicating leading up and during our trip Definitely recommend the Shouse for a friends getaway! Shouse had all essentials we needed and was nice and clean Beds were extremely comfortable The ramp is a driving distance from the Shouse You have access to a private ramp & picnic area which was great! We spent the day by the water and had an awesome time! Can’t wait to be back! Thanks so much for having us!

Summary: We had a wonderful weekend at The Shouse catching up with amazing friends. The property was clean on arrival and it had everything we needed, very well equipped. We loved the covered outdoor area and were very thankful to be able to enjoy the outdoors even with the sometimes torrential rain. While the hosts are close by, the property is still very private for guests. The hosts were very friendly and great to communicate with to organise the booking. Thank you for letting us stay at The Shouse…. Well be back again!

Summary: The property is a lovely location with a great view. The house was nice, cosy and comfortable but the website says it is pet friendly but on arrival we found out that my dog wasn't allowed upstairs in the bedroom. Would have liked to have known this before we got there. Also there were some dog across the way that would bark at me and my dog everytime we went outside. Was annoying and made my dog uncomfortable

Summary: Very happy with our weekend stay at the shouse. The large covered deck allowed us to enjoy the fresh air even when there were sporadic heavy showers. Great views of the sunset. House has all the comforts and a well equipped kitchen. The espresso machine was a nice bonus. Our hosts ensured we had what we needed. Overall a great getaway.

Summary: We took a pre-Christmas break as a family plus our dog. Our teen boys, us and the dog all had a great time at the property both at the shouse and riverside which is a nice walk within the property. The accomodation was just right for the break: good space, facilities, rooms, bbq, technology and the open patio just the place to sit with a book. Our dog loved the open spaces and off leash freedom that the property allows. Terry was a great host, welcoming us and guiding us locally.
