Positive: The cottage was well appointed with all that you could possibly need, comfortable and clean. Location great. Information book very helpful. As per expectations and pictured on booking.com. Lovely towels
Negative: Slightly leaking plug in bathroom sink. Taps also twisted on use, particularly hot tap. Would have liked freeview/terrestrial TV. Couldn't connect to Sonos but good Internet connection
Summary: Relaxing,comfortable, interesting short break away from home with good value for money.

Positive: The place is great. It's fresh, well cared for and pretty well equipped. The location is first class with cafes, restaurants and local pubs just around the corner. The views along the coast across the river and of the Tynemouth Priory are simply magnificent. Parking is designated so no problems there at all.
Negative: The chimney in the main lounge suffers very badly from strong winds with the noise howling down into the lounge so loud it was difficult to hear the tv at times. However, this is a coastal location and I'm not sure anything could really be done to solve this. It would be great if the gas fire in the lounge worked. I could only get the pilot light to burn not the main flame. Again, this may have been my fault and not the unit but simple instruction would help with this a lot.
Summary: Not only am I very happy to stay there again, but I regularly recommend it to my family and friends.

Positive: The location is fabulous. The cottage very well equipped and nicely set up. we found everything we needed: Hair dryer, extension lead, washing machine etc.
Negative: … ehm… nothing.
