The Oasis is a charming, stand-alone apartment located within walking distance of the state capitol and close to all area entertainment. Very private, peaceful and quiet.
There is one very comfortable queen-sized bed. The couch is more of a sitting, not a sleeping couch, so if there are two of you, make sure you're OK with sharing a bed. There are blinds and curtains for a great nights sleep.
Parking is on-street without parking restrictions on a quiet residential street. There is always parking available close by. The neighborhood is safe and the apartment is fifty feet off the street down a very well lit paved driveway.
Enjoy a stroll through the historic east end of Charleston to the nearby Capitol with its golden dome. Two blocks north of the Kanawha River with its walking and bike riding paths. Walk to nearby restaurants and music venues. Only one mile from downtown and its variety of restaurants, entertainment venues and places of interest. Of note, the 1010 Restaurant (reservations a must), West Virginia's only James Beard Award winning Chef in 2024. Plus new and exciting restaurants opening in 2024.
Afterwards, return to your own comfy, cozy and tranquil little piece of Charleston.

Summary: The apartment had everything we were looking for. It is in an excellent location in Charleston. The block is quiet and a pleasant walk to either downtown or to the Capital. The apartment was also very clean and comfortable. Also, as my husband and I needed to do some work while we were here, including some telephone calls, it is designed in a way that we could both be on the phone without disturbing the other. The only thing I would mention is that the apartment is above a garage. While this was not an issue for us, it may be for some. Finally, the owners were very quick to respond. The live in the house next to the apartment and were very helpful when we had questions. If we were coming back to Charleston, I would choose to stay here again.

Summary: This unit is located off street in a quiet neighborhood. Unit was nicely stocked with some drinks and snacks when we arrived. Alan was very responsive and nice. Would recommend staying here.

Summary: I was in town to visit an old college friend and had the distinct pleasure of staying at the Urban Oasis. The Oasis was perfect for my trip - very comfortable, very quiet, smartly appointed. It’s in a great location and convenient to everything I did in Charleston. Alan and Shannon are gracious hosts and made me feel very much at home. And true to the welcoming nature of this city, when my friend came by to pick me up, it turns out he knows the hosts and chatted with them. The Urban Oasis is a terrific place to stay to enjoy this friendly city.

Summary: Living space is meticulously decorated and organized. A British style flat that is just lovely. My stay also by happenstance, enabled me to meet a lovely standard poodle who was investigative of me and rested his chin on my hand through the fence. Of course im not endorsing petting the poodles. Just saying I love animals. Stop by the wonderful cheese shop (recommended by the owners)

Summary: Wow! What an incredible gem of a place to stay while visiting Charleston. We stayed for 4 nights while visiting my wife’s hometown and family and we were sad to leave. It’s charming and our hosts really have thought of everything to ensure comfort. We especially loved chatting with them and getting to know them, and found them both to be really delightful people. Cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay and we will definitely use them again for our next visit!!

Summary: The Urban Oasis is adorable! It’s tucked behind the street’s main homes, so it felt quiet and private. It’s just the right amount of space for two with more than enough amenities. It was also a convenient home base for the other places we wanted to see during our visit. The host, Alan, was gracious and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. A terrific experience for us!
