Positive: The location is undoubtedly wonderful, right alongside the River Thames

Negative: The place seems a little run down and some of the staff not particularly welcoming. The room was boiling (admittedly during a heatwave) but there seemed no way for air to get in there. Not helped by the fact the bathroom window could not be opened..

Positive: This is more of a pub than a hotel. The room was quaint but old fashioned and some furniture past its prime. However, the location, overlooking the river, is lovely.

Negative: This isn't suitable for people on business stays. No aircon - although the fan was efficient if noisy. The balcony isn't private but runs in front of a number of rooms, which makes security an issue Cigarette and petrol fumes wafted through the open windows at time from the garden and car park below Breakfast was poor and slow - only a few cereals laid out (no fruit, juice, yoghurts etc) and the quality of the poached eggs was poor.
