Summary: Lovely stay in the Nightingale Suite. High quality bedding and teas and coffees in room. Beautiful furnishings too. Breakfast was good although no continental buffet choice. Also service fairly slow due to only one waiting staff. Perhaps a buffet offering of fruits, yoghurts, pastries etc would alleviate the longish wait a little from sitting down and getting served? Breakfast was great and especially loved the proper leaf tea served. Would recommend and definitely book again.

Summary: It’s an old building so you have to put up with the creaky floors and outside noise especially on a warm evening when windows need to be open. We could hear a radio on below our room at 6am and people leaving the hotel about the same time. Staff really good, breakfast outstanding and a pretty decent place if you can put up with the noise but at the end of the day, that’s what we needed after many a hundred miles driven in Europe. Also, “complimentary” breakfast is a bit rich given the cost of the accommodation.

Summary: This was a lovely well maintained pub with accommodation above in a quiet village . Our room was clean but extremely hot. There were no hangers or wardrobe which was a little disappointing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. Sadly the dinner was very disappointing, they could not cook salmon or risotto and it was over priced, I guess it was a different chef. There was however a very nice restaurant in the village The Dairy, I would definitely eat there again.

Summary: Only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable and fantastic shower. Bar and restaurant cozy and lovely outdoor area to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Staff without exception were chwerful,efficient and friendly. The White Horse was everything I had hiped it would be 5*
