Summary: This was a very comfortable clean cottage. I enjoyed staying here. It's a short stroll to Curtis Park and a fun neighborhood to walk in. The bed was very comfortable which is rare for me as I have back issues. This location is central to much of Sacramento.

Summary: I stayed in this place with my partner while receiving emergency medical treatment at UC Davis health center for a serious medical condition. The place overall was nice. It is quiet despite being next to the highway and is walking distance to Curtis Park and Oak Park and close to the UC Davis med center. Note- the image shows that it is actually next to the park, that’s not quite right - it’s about a 10 minute walk to the park. Some concerns I have were that the heating was not working the first night (nights are in the 40s so especially with dealing with a medical condition, it was COLD). Luckily when they changed the filter the next day and brought over more blankets, it was warm enough. The thing I would note is that the owners are accusing me of leaving the place a mess. I have stayed in dozens of rentals over the years and have NEVER had an issue until this one. I received flowers for my treatments and some of the leaves were on the ground when we left, there were also popcorn crumbs from watching a movie and we accidentally left broccoli in the oven (the oven was turned off). We still had run the dishwasher, threw the towels in the tub, and left the place lived in and acceptable (again, I am professional and PhD student and have never had an issue prior to this). The owners are now accusing me of breaking the coffee machine (it was working the day we left so this is untrue) and saying the cleaners took 7 hours to clean (again, for a two bedroom and one bath with the biggest issue being crumbs and leaves, this would be impossible). I would keep this in mind in case this seems like a hassle to you.

Summary: Overall, my husband and I had a great time at this location. The place was lovely, spacious and comfortable. However, we did have a few issues with it: 1) There were SEVERAL big, long, black hairs in the bed when we turned the covers back. I think it was from the dryer - but still - that's something that should be checked by the cleaning crew because it's gross. I smelled the sheets - they smelled clean so we're hoping for the best. 2) The location pin on the map is not accurate. We originally booked this location because we thought it was right on Curtis Park as per the pin drop on the VRBO map. It is not. It's a few blocks away from Curtis Park, which is still fine, just misleading. 3) We did have to toggle the circuit breakers a few times to keep the oven working and the soap dispenser in the dishwasher is broken. I sent a message to the property manager about most of these items but never heard back. He was a bit challenging to get a hold of. Overall, it was a nice stay with a few minor issues.
