The Black Log Cabin features cozy spots inside and out - to escape the hustle & bustle of your busy schedules. It's a getaway in the middle of multiple historic spots, antique shops, restaurants & more! SO much value!
Close to a main road and intersection yet fence provides privacy. Close walk across the bridge to down town Fredericksburg with restaurants and coffee shops.
All of the property is open for guests, the only off limit space at the moment is a closet in basement for host supplies.

Most people wonder if cabin and modern can even be combined...Well the answer is...ABSOLUTELY! Feel at most comfortable here with a luxurious escape while checking of the trip to adventures cabin! I know... it is SOO hard to find both!
Everything on the inside has been remodeled! The kitchen features quartz countertops and the full appliance suite for those who love to unwind with cooking! And for those who recharge with serene solitude, it also features a quiet sitting/reading area.
The outside is also an entertaining feature of The Black Log Cabin with a game room with air hockey table, foosball table, Pac Man, and more arcade games. It has a new hot tub perfect for this weather, and an amazing fire pit perfect for making smores. You may not even want to leave!
Plenty of parking in front, carport and side drive way. Uber is easy to get here. Can also walk to down town Fredericksburg in 9 min.

Summary: We had a great time being able to visit family who live in the area. The cabin was 20 minutes from my brother and his family and 20 minutes to my nephews house. We loved the fact that it seemed like we were in the country and not in town. The yard and the fire pit was a huge hit with us. The Tulip Festival was amazing. Thank you again.

Summary: The location of the cabin was very convenient, however very noisy. The train is nearby and you will hear it as you try to sleep. We appreciated all the amenities provided. Blankets would be helpful as the downstairs gets cold and the comforter is thin. Beds were comfortable and slept well.

Summary: If I could give the property 10 stars I would! The place was absolutely amazing. It was very clean and I loved the layout. This is the first time I stayed at a log cabin and we will definitely be back! Every time I sent a message to the owner she responded so quickly. We even were able to enjoy the fire pit. The boys absolutely loved the game room. It was things to do for the whole family which I enjoyed. I can’t even really describe how comfy the beds were. One of the best beds I’ve slept in at a rental house. If you’re looking for a place to stay please consider them!

Summary: The cabin was easy access off the highway. It accommodated 7 people comfortably. The snacks and coffee was nice. We are coffee drinkers. It was quiet and comfortable. We had a great time.

Summary: This house has been nicely done. The pictures and description are accurate. It did show a close proximity to the road but I still was a little disappointed just how much road traffic you can hear at night. It is well equipped with paper products, soap, even coffee and tea. It was clean (except for the light fixtures) and the beds comfortable. They do have some sort of issue with some septic smell in the one bathroom. It wasn't a super big deal, we just used showers in the other bathrooms. The property mangers emails were experiencing a glitch and I received confirmations for other properties, and emails stating I would still owe a pet fee after it was a line item in my VRBO receipt. I also had visit two additional apps or webpages to submit ID. I thought it a bit excessive but I haven't stayed in a VRBO in awhile, maybe that is just how it is now. Fredericksburg is a great little town and the house was in a convenient location to all we wanted to do.

Summary: Good location, close to town and other attractions yet secluded. Very much enjoyed the outdoor space as well as the indoor. Would highly recommend this cabin as a rental when visiting Fredericksburg and surrounding areas.

Summary: This cabin worked nice for our visit to the area. The hot tub was great. It was a little too hot to play in the game room very long. The spiral staircase is a little hard but there is the option to go down on the outside staircase. Overall we loved the stay.

Summary: Cute place, quiet property. Our stay started very warm….. AC was set to 72-74 but at times would not get below 78 degrees. If you use the kitchen it was 80 on the main floor. We were greeted by wet laundry in the washer and the dryer going with sheets, towels. If you have anyone older or handicapped in any way they would not be able to get down the spiral stairs to the bottom floor with broken hand railing. One of our family members almost fell to the floor trying to sit down in a chair that was broken in the kitchen. The couch downstairs has a broken arm. Our host did not always respond in a timely manner and has yet to get back to me on messages I sent after check out as well. The AC issue, I was told, was not fixable. The upstairs front bedroom was too warm to sleep in at all. We were told the “hvac guys” came out there but we were not notified anyone would be in the house when we were not there. We had our dog with us. I was told we would get a “refund” because of the warm temperatures in the house and unusable bedroom but have not been communicated with since the day after we left. The proximity of the property to downtown Fredricksburg was awesome. The property with large outdoor fire pit and hot tub is quiet and nice. The inside of the house could have used a better cleaning.
