The kitchen has been completely remodeled with all new appliances and everything you need to create a wonderful meal. Keurig machine fully stocked with coffee and tea. Summary: This home has the best of both old and new. It has the wonderful architectural detail of older homes but it's been updated with bright colors and beautiful art. The beds were comfortable with soft sheets and good pillows and the kitchen had everything we needed. I think our family loved the front porch most of all and we could walk to everything. Great house with a great location!

Summary: Our running crew stayed at the Laurel House for the Yeti 100. The house was spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were super responsive to any questions we had! This house is in the perfect location! We loved our stay and will visit again!

Summary: This house was everything I expected and more! Meticulously remodeled, gorgeous decor, well appointed kitchen, soft towels, and comfy beds! We enjoyed lounging on the covered front porch with plenty of seating for our group of six and then some. We made a full spaghetti dinner for six with plenty of pots, pans, plates, and cups to go around! Small touches like the well stocked pantry with spices, oils, and enough K cups to last us the whole weekend. Thank you! We will definitely be back! The location was perfect as well, short walk to the diner for breakfast and close proximity to the creeper trail. We did the bike ride from Mt Rogers back to town and it was lovely!

Summary: We had a marvelous time at the Laurel House. It is a beautiful and comfortable home in a good location and within walking distance of all Damascus has to offer. We would definitely stay here again. It is an old house so we expected some quirks, and the distance from front of toilet to tub does make it a little awkward for people with long legs. But that's a minor inconvenience in my opinion compared to the overall coziness of the house. Comfortable beds, super soft towels, well stocked kitchen, and wonderful front porch. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Damascus.

Summary: You can't go wrong with Laurel House. It's centrally located in Damascus, so you don't really have to drive your car if you don't want to. The beautiful Creeper Trail is just round the corner, so to speak, and the house has a back story that would give a movie producer goose bumps. The hosts are totally hospitable, and immediately responsive to any question or concern. The pantry is loaded with good coffee and sundries, and the kitchen has every utensil a cook could ask for. The front porch is delightful for cocktails or coffee and especially people watching. My eight friends and I found the house comfortable and spacious for the weekend, and we are definitely going back.
