Positive: Three Ken was a really nice surprise. It is located at the prime location in Bunaken, first row. The two rooms are next to each other above the restaurant. The family is a super friendly, they get you everything organized. But the best is really the food, prepared by Mama Inge; really well cooked food with veggies, mostly fish - fresh tuna was the best - not this deep fried stuff… In the evenings the locals always played music, some tourists were joining - big fun! Full recommendation from our side (we stayed there 5 nights, extending our stay in Bunaken) had both rooms: one for my wife and me and one for our two kids.

Positive: The family of the homestay are lovely and treat you like part of the family straight away. The food was excellent and plentiful. Not only did they cater to vegetarian and vegan diets easily, the food was delicious and a highlight of our stay. For the room, it was small but adequate with a queen size bed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom was nice with a good pressure cool shower and flushing toilet. Aircon worked great.and was a nice treat. Ken's homestay was the place to be in the evening with live music being played by various talents from across the village. It's a fun and friendly vibe. Some nights are more lively than others which was a nice mix for us. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early bring earplugs and it is fine. The mornings are nice and quiet and you can wake up to the sound of the waves. You can't even hear the church or the mosque! We went on two snorkelling tours and both were great ways to see other amazing snorkelling spots and we even visited the village on Manado Tua. Good value too. We extended our stay by two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Terima kasih banyak!
Negative: The only very minor improvement could be to have some more comfortable seating outside of the room for relaxing. Maybe sling a hammock out the back?

Positive: The staff was great! They spoke a little English and we spoke a little Indonesian and that was enough to communicate. The lady that prepared the meals was an excellent cook! I definitely recommend to book full board. In the evening there’s often live music and a lot of fun. But they will quiet down once you want to go to sleep. Very nice location, with seaview.
Negative: One of the rooms smelled bad, we kept the bathroom door closed and the fan on. You could only close the door by locking it.
Summary: Nice little place, very friendly staff, great meals!
