Positive: Bedroom was cozy, with just enough room -- not too big but not too small. Bed was comfortable and had 5 comforters in case it was too cold. Breakfast was a good continental spread of fruits, bread, eggs, and coffee. Wilson and Nelly are wonderful and attentive hosts. Wilson picked us up on time at the port, despite our 8pm late check in. He also drove us back to the port really early when we had to leave and arranged for a taxi to pick us up as well. Gas heater was a welcome addition, but also something to really take note of as you should turn it off before sleeping.

Negative: Eco-bathroom was an adjustment, but likely standard for the area. Dogs can be noisy. Area has a ton of mosquitoes at night. Host offered us a standard tour to Uros & Taquile Island (which felt like a lot of wasted time). This wasn't exactly the host's fault, but something to be aware of. We sailed 2 hours each way only to stay on the island for about 1 hour of eating, 30 mins of mild hiking, 10 mins of shopping, and 5 mins of a staged cultural show. On the boat, we were not allowed to get off of some of the Uros tourist islands (where we waited for other tourists to finish and board the boat). This was disappointing as we felt we didn't have enough time on Uros.

Positive: Wilson and his wife made us very welcome and the accomodation was first class. The tours were interesting and good value but the island itself was a wonderful place to be.

Positive: It was clean. Friendly host that gave us a short tour around the lake on a traditional boat with a sunset view. Great view from the terace. The host took us very early morning to inland and arranged us taxi to Puno.

Negative: The heating wasn't working and no hot water. The water was actually freezing. So we went to sleep 7pm cause it was really cold. Also electricity was not working, but he brought us some battery light. The host parked the boat that was icy in the way that I almost fell into the lake so I hurted my knee.

Positive: We loved everything about it!! The place is super comfortable and there is no end to the blankets and a heater so you aren’t cold. The beds were very comfortable. And the family, Wilson, Nellie and their daughter, were so welcoming and sweet and helpful and there was a delicious breakfast . Best place we stayed in Peru! Really amazing place!! You have to stay here! Even our father who is 83 with a bad knee was super comfortable!

Positive: What’s not to like, great location. amazing views. As others have said Wilson and Nelly were great hosts. Secure parking for our hire car at the dock (not the main one where the boat trips leave from about 10 mins in the car from the main dock). Fishing in the morning was a great way to spend a little time. Composting toilet (obviously being on a floating island) was no problem and not smelly, shower really hot if not amazing pressure ( but your in the middle of a lake) Thanks for a lovely time Wilson and Nelly.
