Summary: Lovely location. Wonderful main area and kitchen. Food was great! Hotel rooms (turf houses) are teeny - 1 bedroom house had nowhere to put luggage nor any cabinets to unpack. Bathroom had no place for toiletries. Minimal personal items such as no conditioner, no robes, no slippers. The advertised private thermal pools are actually shared with two other units. Since so little needed to be done to upgrade comfort, this could have been a 5-star experience, but didn’t quite feel that way.

Summary: Rustic chic— lovely farm like area with private historical style houses— love the hot spa, kitchen, comfy beds. Staff is very helpful, dinner was so good. Would have been nice to have more of a choice of hot foods for breakfast— simple eggs but not omelette or any other options than bacon. There is no better place than Torfhus if you are visiting the area.

Summary: An amazing place!! We loved everything about it. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, setting is gorgeous, and the food was some of the best we've had. The heated pools outside each set of rooms is the perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. Was the perfect spot for us to stay as we explored the golden circle and other areas of southern Iceland. Hope to come back!
