Summary: For those wanting to have a completely relaxing break this is a perfect location. So quiet and beautiful. Very well equipped kitchen & spacious living area, super terrace and a lovely garden to enjoy as well as the refreshing pool - much needed on a hot day! Plenty of super walks locally as well as very easy to walk straight from the house. Would recommend taking a torch as the bathroom and toilets are on the ground floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and love the area.

Summary: We have just returned from a really lovely week here. The gite is very traditional and is located in an extremely quiet little hamlet - you barely see or hear anyone else (this is the case for pretty much everywhere in this whole area we found!) If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. The house is well appointed and had pretty much everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There were just 3 of us staying (myself, my husband and our 8 year old). The gite is a nice size but I do feel if there were 8 people (which I believe it can sleep) it would be a little on the small side inside - the outside area is very large though and private. Although the owners left some notes about places to visit it would be nice if the house had a "visitors book" so that people staying could write about their visits to local places of interest and places to eat. We struggled a little to find places to visit with children and it was only when Dennis the housekeeper visited that we learned of some nice places to go with kids. It would have been good to be able to pass this info on to future guests who would also find it helpful. A really lovely week though and would highly recommend.

Summary: Had a great 2 weeks. The property was everything we expected. My only slight criticism would be pack of fans. We was lucky enough to have unusually hot weather (100f) however it was just to hot at night which made for a poor nights sleep. Perhaps a fan for each room would be good

Summary: A great space for a good family holiday, very clean and well laid out. The swimming pool was particularly good, and the grounds and the remote location added tremendously to our fantastic holiday. We would certainly consider going again.

Summary: we had wonderful holidays in this region with our four children. The house is very comfortable and the owners have very good tastes. Summary: What a place! Very cosy and tastefull! Big garden., nice swimming pool. Enough shade when it is hot due to the covered terraces. The lounge area on the side where you can watch the sunset is truly wonderful. We have had a really wonderful week there. Summary: The gite is a charming, rustic country cottage set in the rolling hills of southern France. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling around the house, the Pyrenees are clearly visible in the distance and there are several pretty villages and towns nearby to visit. The house is well equipped with a great kitchen and comfortable lounge. The garden and patio are lovely places to chill out and have a barbecue, and the frog chorus in the evenings is a delight! Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Summary: Au Forgeron - the house is very well equipped, with everything you can think of, which makes your holiday perfect - a home from home. There is a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area, which is very sociable and well furnished. A gorgeous terrace runs along the back of the house - perfect for al fresco eating. A good-sized pool with paving and plenty of good quality sunloungers - one of the best pools we've had in a holiday rental. The area around Lagarde Hachan is flat and perfect for an early morning run - the roads are quiet. The listing description is accurate . This is a quiet get away from it all location.
