Summary: the log cabin was ideal for our annual friends meet as its often hard to find separate beds for a group, the living space was cozy . It was a small adjustment realizing how close neighbor was to this rural property. I was really impressed with the how well the kitchen was equipped. the place had personality without feeling we were in someones home. Highly recommend and would return .

Summary: This was the perfect place to stay for our minimoon. It was the first time away from our toddlers and after the busyness of the wedding, it was lovely to just slow down and be with each other. The spa was excellent and all of the careful details in the house were lovely. Great being able to walk to the river and say hello to the sheep. A very clean and tidy place and excellent communication.

Summary: Never quite got over how amazing the cabin was. Cabin doesn’t do it justice- it’s a large home. The setting is so peaceful, remote and calm yet only 10 min drive from Wahi or the Karangahake gorge. The best thing though is having a drink in the spa after spending the afternoon in the swimming hole! Enjoy!

Summary: We booked and paid for the luxury of having a hot tub. The tub was tepid and we did better having a bath! Using the instructions and increasing temp to 40 didn’t work either. If renting as a place with a hot tub you really should get this fixed to avoid other disappointment- the spot is lovely would be great for swimming in the river in summer

Summary: Firstly, booking and instructions were timely and easy. The property was awesome, well equipped, great location that was a private rural getaway but only ten mins to town for anything you forgot. Highlights were definitely the log cabin feel, the fire, the spa pool and access to the river. The only downside was that we expected internet access and had planned to get a few things done while there but it was a Zenbu setup so we had to purchase data and it wasn’t great. In saying that, we took the message and went largely device free. It would be good for future guests to know though as we relied on SkyGo for entertainment so that plan was a fail lol. Overall though, if we had have known the internet access was limited then we could have planned accordingly and improved our stay. It was still a great property for privacy, relaxation and recharging.

Summary: Time stood still at the log cabin the days so long and peaceful! Loved the river walk even seen trout we will be back in the summer to try out the swing rope :) This cabin is an experience on its own but if ya need to get out and about dickys flat is just down the road with some very beautiful walks definitely will be back my new favourite Bach :)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
