Perched on a hillside overlooking the picturesque valley below, Hillside Cabin is a tranquil, two-bedroom home where you can hang your hat and truly relax. Surrounded by a working cattle ranch, you’ll have plenty of unspoiled acres to explore as well as the nearby Meramec River to enjoy. Within an easy driving distance to some of the Missouri Ozark’s most notable wineries and close to the riverside access point as well, Hillside Cabin is sure to please everyone in your group.
A Hillside Home Base
Through the front door lies the simple living area, with a plush sofa and easy chair and a large HDTV. Overhead, the galvanized metal ceiling adds an industrial feel. Around the corner is the fully-equipped galley kitchen— complete with a gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and drip coffee maker. Nearby is the formal dining space, with a farmhouse-style table that seats four next to a vintage hutch.
Inviting Sleeping Spaces
Each of the two bedrooms has plenty of privacy and peace, so everyone has the opportunity to recharge at the end of the day. The first bedroom features a comfy queen-size bed, and the second bedroom includes a full-size bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living area, and the full bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

Summary: This was a great stay with fun to river access. Our float got cancelled due to sever storms and dangerous conditions on the water, but there were still safe spots to hang on the the water. We’d definitely go back since it’s a short drive from the city.

Summary: Although the property was nicely maintained, it would have been more enjoyable if we had some direct communication with the property manager other than messaging through VRBO. We did not have phone service at this location. The map of the property was not beneficial.

Summary: In short, every second of this trip was amazing! I could not believe how beautiful this place was in person. As soon as we got there one of the owners Justin came down, gave a full rundown of everything we could do, gave fun ideas and even helped to unload the heavy stuff. Jessica the other owner was so helpful and extremely quick to respond. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and clean. The kids ages ranged from 4-10 (4 altogether) and every single one of them want to go back asap. It was relaxing but so much to do at the same time. We are already planning our next trip back! Thank you guys for renting out a little piece of heaven on earth!!

Summary: Everything was nice for us. Love the property and learned a little about what to expect next time. I would have given all 5 stars, except out of 49+ pictures, you would never know there’s another cabin next door. It was empty our first night but ppl stayed the second night. They were very nice but I just had a picture of a little more privacy. A small section of privacy fence or even a short row of a few evergreen trees would help a lot. Beautiful views and it would make a fine vacation spot. We plan on a return trip but we will stay at least 3 nights as two just wasn’t quite enough time. Thank you for having us and we will not forget our trip. We may try and order some of the special raised cattle meat. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
