Summary: We enjoyed our centrally located unit. Unit looked exactly as described, nice location. Great communication with Cliff. Hear noise from street, but did not bother us, especially while sleeping in back bedroom.

Summary: The Acadia House is a great property for the Acadia NP trip. It is close enough to Acadia but not in the busy part of Bar Harbor. Cliff, the host lets us know by email that the house is by the busy road so we’ll hear it. It frankly didn’t bother us, but we live in the city. (At least there are no police / emt sirens!). The house had everything we needed. And more! (Grill, board games, etc) Wifi was fast. It is a wonderful place to go home to after a long day of hiking/ sightseeing. It is within walking distance to several lobster pound places and a coffee shop. We just did take out at the lobster places for dinner then ate at home. I would recommend Cliff’s place with no reservations.

Summary: Our family of five really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We had one issue when we first arrived and Cliff was very responsive. The road sounds did not bother us. It is close to Bar Harbor & Acadia, near to restaurants, etc. Our kids loved the loft bedroom. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Summary: Nice location to Acadia National Park. It’s on the only road to get to Acadia so there is continuous traffic in front of the house day & night as stated. It was dark indoors & asked about lighting switches & did not have internet-messaged through VRBO site but no reply until after we left & hard to check messages w/o any service

Summary: Beautiful place. Cleaning could be stepped up. Pencil on the floor, cobwebs in several corners, recycling was half full (stinky), no pepper in the shaker on the table, no extra garbage bags to be found. I was not happy about spending the amount of money on the rental and having only 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 4 nights and 5 people staying in the house. Plus only one wash cloth in the bathroom and only a sponge for washing dishes. The smoke alarm battery started to die at midnight one of the nights. The welcome package was a nice touch. Cliff was very responsive via text if we needed anything or had questions. The cabin is very close to a steadily busy road but we were still able to sleep ok. The cabin is location is perfect for three lobster pounds, short distance to Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. This place is beautiful but stepping up the rental game would help make it more enjoyable and seem like it’s worth the expense.

Summary: My family of 5 stayed here during a recent visit to Maine. We spent the majority of our days out and about and were only at the cabin in the morning for breakfast, later in the evenings after dinner and of course overnight. The location was super convenient for quickly jumping over to both Acadia and Bar Harbor!! While not large, the available space is put to creative use and allowed us to stay comfortably. The kitchen was ample for our needs; we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and Keurig but note there is not a dishwasher (not a problem for us but something to consider if you plan to cook a lot of meals). The beds and futon worked well for our group (which included 2 adults, 2 adult-sized teens, and a child under 10) but would suggest that the owners make extra pillows and blankets available for future guests (including a larger blanket for the futon in case an adult is sleeping there). There is an A/C unit which is helpful for when the days get warm. Other reviewers noted about road noise from the traffic outside. Yes, it’s there but for the most part it didn’t bother us too much. Unlike visiting a city, it’s just cars and trucks that you hear (not sirens what not), but because this is the road to Acadia and lots of people travel for the sunrise views, the road gets traffic all hours of the day and night.

Summary: This cabin was beautiful and the perfect location for Acadia, Bar Harbor, and Ellsworth. It is close to three different lobster pounds. My only complaints were the cleaning could be stepped up a bit, there was only one wash cloth for 5 people, and for the price you pay for VRBOs, I don't want to be having to supply my toilet paper and shampoo/conditioner. There were 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 4 nights (5 people mind you) and some little shampoo/conditioners in the welcome basket which we squeaked through to make it. Responsiveness of the owner was great. The location was perfect. Loved that we could wash the towels in the basement. Would definitely stay here again.
