Welcome to Tres Puertas (Three Doors), where you can enjoy a classic Santa Fe experience. The home has an illustrious history and is a State of New Mexico registered cultural property. This exceptional example of Territorial architectural style was built in the 1880’s by Juan Holmes, a Santa Fe County sheriff, when the West was wild. Authentic adobe and beautifully renovated, this is the perfect downtown location, just three blocks from the Plaza with its museums, restaurants, shopping, and art galleries scattered at the Plaza and Canyon Road.
You will find a light and bright living room with high ceilings, a stunning kiva fireplace and beautiful works of art. Skylights adorn the comfortable dining room and well-appointed kitchen that has new stainless steel appliances, authentic Talavera tile, and all the cooking equipment you will need to create and serve a delicious meal. The spacious master suite includes a king size bed, television, its own kiva fireplace and a beautifully tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. The guest bedroom includes a queen-sized bed beneath viga ceilings, television, and its own bathroom with tub/shower combination, and laundry facilities. The home is air-conditioned and has wood and Saltillo tile floors throughout. Lovely, private, and spacious courtyards are shaded with mature landscaping. The comfortable furniture, gas grill, dining table, and brick pavers invite a wonderful outdoor dining and entertaining experience. This 1,579+ square foot home includes two off-street parking spaces.
Tres Puertas sits in an older established neighborhood, just 3 blocks northeast of Santa Fe’s historic downtown plaza. It’s a five minute stroll to a myriad of fine dining establishments, museums, fine art galleries and a shopper’s paradise of original boutiques. Seasonally, the Plaza is home to several famous international artist markets including Indian Market and Spanish Market. Canyon Road, famous for its historic adobe architecture and over 100 fine art galleries in a half-mile stretch, is a few blocks southeast of the home. Outdoor adventure abounds, with the Santa Fe Ski Basin only 12 miles up the mountain. In minutes, you are surrounded by the Santa Fe National Forest with its glorious hiking trails and opportunities for fishing, biking, and aspen vistas. The world class Santa Fe Opera is located 10 miles north. Ancient pueblo ruins surround Santa Fe, such as Bandelier National Monument, Taos Pueblo, Acoma Pueblo’s Sky City, and Pecos National Monument, all within an hour’s drive. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, it is a great location and solid accommodations. We never found any firewood when we decided to start a fire. The gas grill could use some cleaning, and a dirty utensil was left from a previous client. Our last day was disrupted by an electrical storm power issue under no one's control. The weekend emergency call procedure worked very well.

Summary: Traveling with friends can sometimes make for crowded conditions. Not so at Tres Puertas We could be together or have time alone within the beautifully decorated home with all the amenities one could need. Tres Puertas is conveniently located to downtown and easily accessible to main roadways for travel. This is a great stay for anyone who wants to explore and learn about Georgia O’Keefe and enjoy the fine arts scene Highly recommend.

Summary: The house is even nicer than the photos. It is a perfect vacation home for 2 couples. The beautiful kitchen and dining area are in the center of the home and there is a bedroom and bathroom on either side of the central portion so we had lots of privacy. The living room is lovingly decorated with lots of art work and artifacts. The dining area also feels like I'm in a gallery looking and all of the beautiful decorations and furniture in the room. The house is a 7 minute walk to restaurants and to the shops on the Plaza, and only a 3 minute drive to a Sprouts to buy food and a CVS right next door. My only suggestion is that there is only one kitchen towel. It would have been better if we had more. Otherwise this house is perfect!

Summary: Two of us travelled from the heat of the SW to spend a few days in cooler Santa Fe. We wanted to be able to walk to the Plaza, restaurants, shops and Canyon Road. We were able to from this location. The place was plenty spacious for the two of us. We were able to take in the Opera and the International Folk Festival. A starter of coffee would have been nice for the first morning and a couple more wash clothes. Other than that the unit had all we needed and more. Really enjoyed our 4 day stay.

Would love to stay again. Easy walk to downtown and the convention center, location felt very safe and was thoroughly pleasant. Only thing that could be improved: air conditioning is only single room units, located only in the two bedrooms. This is fine for most guests, but for our family of 5, one had to sleep in the living room- and it gets very hot there overnight in the summer months. So if you’ll need to use the third bed I would avoid this location in the summers.
