Beautiful handcrafted red cedar furniture accents this beautiful Log Cabin. If you are looking for a Creekside retreat, you will love this. Elk Creek is listed as an Outstanding Resource of Water by state of NC and stock monthly from Mar-Aug.
This log home offers serene setting along the creek, but yet convenient to areas of attraction like Boone (Appalachian State Univ.) and Blowing Rock(Tweetsie Railroad). It is a 15-20 min ride up the mountain to many restaurants and shops etc. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Leatherwood Stables (horseback riding) are within 10-15 min drive.
The Cabin offers handcrafted red cedar and pine log furniture throughout and kitchen is equipped with all you will need for cooking and baking. A gas fireplace in the living room will surely take the chill out of the air in the winter but we also have central air and heat. You will find this very quiet and cozy. The hot tub in on a covered porch for privacy. Come visit and make it a memorable vacation for you and your family.

Summary: Wife and I plus our 2 golden retrievers enjoyed our stay. We went into town “Boone” which is about a 35 minute drive. The cabin was great! The river behind the property has some deep spots where the pups loved to jump into. No cell service but the wifi was great and the house has a phone. It was a nice getaway.

Summary: Really clean and comfortable well-appointed cabin with good amenities and thoughtful touches throughout. Perfect for a fly fishing getaway although when we went in July it was too hot to fish and the stream was very low. The hot tub is nice, and the living room has a nice fireplace. Small issues like very slow internet and the shower lever in the bath not working well hardly registered, although requiring you to take your own trash with you if you produced more than one garbage bag of trash and charging $10/bag if you left more than one seemed a little over the top given you’re paying a hefty cleaning fee. Highly recommend stocking up on food for your stay as restaurants are pretty few and far between and there are no grocery stores nearby. The host was very communicative though which we appreciated. Overall a very nice place on a beautiful mountain stream which is great for fly fishing.

Summary: We had an amazing time and stay at the Anglers Retreat. There wasn’t a detail missed, comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub was clean & relaxing, wood for the campfire was available, and loved the wonderful stream in our backyard! What a treat to watch the deer in the side yard and listen to the stream on the back porch.
