This is a Unique Stay. Property is a quirky rustic mud-brick cottage on the way to the mountains but close to town. It's great for those wishing to visit the majestic Warrumbungles, surrounding areas, star gazing or just relax and enjoy your natural environment outside overlooking the garden, up at the stars, in the hot/cold tub by the fire pit, or the cozy fire indoors. We provide all linen, wood for the fire and just about everything you will need for a cozy and comfortable stay. Hope you can stay :)
***Booking for 2 is for king bed in loft only, for 3 includes 1 single bed in the sunroom, for 4 is the includes king and fold out futon in living room and 5 is all of above. Please indicate at time if booking***

TV with streaming and free to air, mobile coverage is sometimes limited inside due to mud bricks however you can usually get enough to receive, plus use the wifi. For Summer Aircon in the loft and downstairs is cool due to mud bricks and cool breezes from the river.
Please NO PARTIES or PETS - only the number who have been booked and paid for are allowed on the property, we don't allow extra guests to the property for any reason. This is a very peaceful and tranquil property with other guests staying, and owners nearby - please be considerate of outside noise.

Summary: Returning to Coolum beach from Melbourne…having been in Melbourne for 4 weeks to welcome our 2nd grandson and saying goodbye to my dying mum we decided to take a detour and check out the stars from Coona. Wonderful 3 days.

Summary: We spent the weekend at Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Cottage and it was an absolute pleasure. We got to finally get away from it all and relax in absolutely charming surroundings with plenty to do in the cottage to keep our two girls (7 and 10) occupied. Michelle is an extremely gracious hostess and the cottage was conveniently located for all our star gazing activities. The girls were in raptures about the place. Highly, highly recommended.

Summary: Love the location just on edge of Coonabarabran. It was such a peaceful spot and all we heard we birds singing and kookaburras laughing! A cute quaint little cottage which had everything we needed and just loved the fireplace which kept us cozy and warm. Would loved to have stayed longer!!

Summary: Had an excellent stay with family at Michelle's property. Michelle was an attentive host and easy to communicate with. We ended up staying in the big blue house which was beautiful, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the peaceful rural setting, with cute gardens, birds calling and a great deck to enjoy the stars. The property is also well situated, with easy access to town and at the foot of the Warrumbungles. Would visit again!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is spacious, cosy and homey. Fireplace was great and kept us very warm. Loved the outdoor hot tub. Felt very private and didn’t see anyone else while at the property, apart from the little dog who is very friendly and cute and wants to play ball. Only thing to note is the stairs up to the bedroom may be challenging for someone with mobility issues or who is uncoordinated, but there are safety handles on the wall to help. We are a young fit couple and had to be careful going up and down, we didn’t risk trying to bring our bags up and used the front room as a changing area. The main town is a short drive away, has a great Chinese restaurant - the Golden Sea Dragon. Coona is great for hiking and star gazing! Highly recommend booking an evening at Milroy observatory to look through the telescopes. And check out Crystal Kingdom for some exceptional fossils. Two nights and two days was enough time to do everything in the local area but we enjoyed the hot tub so much we easily could have stayed longer just to relax at the property. We felt very comfortable and welcome and would love to stay here again one day.

Summary: Its hard to visualise a place by photo but the little cottage surpassed our expectations. We had plenty to see in the area and it was highlighted by the time we allowed ourselves to experience the comfort and quaintness of Little star. Relaxing, comfortable and just off the grid far enough to energise us. Prompt responses with the host. All up a fulfilling couple of days

Summary: We had such a lovely time at this place. The cottage is charming, cozy and quite unique, with so many thoughtful details. The kitchen is great and very well equipped. We loved to be able to cook our own meals and relax in the spa. It’s close to the town and around 20 min driving to the National Park and observatory. We had an amazing star gazing experience with shooting stars and beautiful night skies. The landscape is absolutely beautiful! We’ll define go back to explore the area a bit more!

Summary: We had a lovely experience for our three night stay. The property is not as remote as it seems however for us it was perfect, not too far from anywhere. It may look small but the cottage is extremely well equipped including an outside hot tub. Overall a very comfortable, clean and special stay. Many thanks.
