Apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room, 5 beds, private garden. Our house, located in an ancient medieval village on the outskirts of Siena, not far from many centers of artistic, naturalistic and culinary interest, such as Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, the Chianti hills and the Sienese Crete, spas such as Petriolo and Saturnia, is a construction of 1800, whose renovation, completed in 2013, we took care of personally wanting to maintain the ancient architectural features while using cutting-edge materials and techniques in respect of energy saving and ecological impact. Although we are in the historic center of Monticiano, through the "Vicolo degli Orti", you access a secluded garden where you can spend pleasant moments of true relaxation, enjoying a panoramic view that extends over the endless expanses of woods. In front of its entrance, the apartment has a private space equipped with comfortable furnishings, but it is also possible to occupy the common areas, perhaps to use the barbecue or to harvest organic vegetables or aromatic plants directly from the small vegetable garden. The renovation of the apartment wanted to keep the original structure intact, which was used as a "stable" and therefore retains the ceiling with beams, rafters and bricks and the old-made brick arch. Given the presence of two doors, the living area with kitchenette is very bright and large. A large glass door leads to the sleeping area and the bathroom. The apartment can accommodate 4 people having, in addition to the double bed, two sofa beds in the living room.

Summary: We really enjoyed our quick stay in Monticiano. Beatrice was very kind and helped us find parking for our car. Our kids enjoyed the downstairs space and had privacy and quiet.

Summary: We would highly recommend this location. There was cafe/restaurant and wine shop (with a great owner) and cafe pizza bar, grocery store, butcher and bakery all very close. The outdoor space at the accommodation was perfect for relaxing. The apartment was well equipped and immaculate. This location is convenient to many local areas for sightseeing and food and wine. Beatrice was an excellent attentive host.

Summary: If youre looking for a peaceful stay in a quiet, but vibrant village in Tuscany, look no further! Beatrice & Luciano are the perfect hosts- they make you feel right at home, while giving you plenty of privacy to enjoy this comfortable two-story home. The home is within the exterior wall of the old village, with views out to the surrounding hills. Sunsets from the patio are lovely. We had everything we needed within a short walk: a well-stocked grocery store, bakery, restaurants, pharmacy...all within a few minutes walk. The typical tuscan village, is off the crowded tourist track but still home to many- you can sense the feeling of community and history as you walk the cobblestone lanes. The area is unique in that it feels as though it's within a nature reserve...forested, rolling hills, and fields of sunflowers for miles in every direction. The beds and showers as the best we had on our long trip through Europe. Luciano (a builder himself) seems to have taken great care in restoring this property, down to good water pressure, sound-proofing, screens on windows, and many other details that make for a comfortable stay. Beatrice has an eye for design and her thoughtful touches throughout the house make it beautiful and cozy. They are a wonderful team and we felt safe and welcome for our entire stay (17 nights.) If you're looking for a peaceful escape, surrounded by nature, in a vibrant, but quiet Tuscan village, I highly recommend this home!

Summary: We were looking for a location that would allow us to visit several locations within an hours’s drive. And we needed access to parking. This location fit the bill. Property was exactly as described and photographed. Safe and walkable-town. Three restaurants. Much like all of Tuscany, very narrow and curving roads so rent the smallest car you can. We were awakened every morning to roosters crowing and the braying ofFrankie the donkey. Wi-Fi service best on lower level. Very clean property. Gorgeous rear terrace. Lovely stay with Beatrice.

Summary: Typical Tuscan house in the very centre of old part of Monticiano. One bedroom on street level with great view over garden and countryside. On same level well equipped kitchen including oven. and a bathroom. One bedroom/lounge and 2nd bathroom on lower floor with double doors opening onto two level garden/patios. Very large outdoor space with ample sun-umbrellas, trees for shade. Side alley and gate from patio/garden leads to street - very handy for my wife's mobility scooter and my bike. Thank you Beatrice!

Summary: Beatrice and her husband are outstanding hosts. Their home is beautiful and situated in a small town no more than one hours drive from all of Tuscany’s best attractions. I recommend them highly for anyone looking for a great heart of Tuscany adventure.

Summary: Absolutely beautiful home in the picturesque Tuscany countryside. The home itself is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were kind and helpful. There's a lovely little bakery a 1 minute walk away, and a market a 3 min walk away. We visited a local restaurant, Albergo Ristorante Da Vestro, and had a excellent meal, which was a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Highly recommend!
