Positive: The location was downtown Beppu minutes from the railway station. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. The self-contained nature of the apartment, the privacy and security. The apartment was roomy. The apartment just about all the facilities that a tourist would require. The basic kitchen was sufficient.The bathroom was well-appointed, plenty of slippers and a good wardrobe. The balcony was spacious and nice to sit out on. We had a dedicated parking spot.

Negative: The beds were not the best and there was only one pillow. There were no reading lamps just one, bright whole room light. There was a washing machine but it seemed difficult to operate so we used the excellent coin laundry 50 metres across the car park.

Positive: The place was perfect for our needs: an easy walk to the train station, convenient access to restaurants, a short walk to a grocery store, enough room for the two of us for a short visit, great communication, easy check-in (click on the check-in link and follow the instructions), clean, cooking supplies were basic but present (tea, coffee, seasonings, oil all provided), and a washing machine. We would definitely stay again.

Negative: Instructions for check-out were not given, so we weren't sure what to do (and the office was closed when we left). Maybe we missed the instructions? Anyway, not a bit deal.

Positive: We loved this apartment! Everything is brand new, the beds are comfortable, there is a table with chairs to eat or work, comfortable bathroom with hot shower (and bath) and a great balcony. It was very quiet and just a short walk from the station. Highly recommend staying here!

Summary: Super comfortable studio apartment! This was our favourite accommodation in Japan!
