Hello, we are Robin and John Hanley and we would like to welcome you to our Under the Gondola Guest Suites in Steamboat Springs! Originally from upstate NY, we moved to Chicago for 15 years before visiting Steamboat and subsequently moving here 28 years ago. While on a business trip to Romania, John was quite taken with the Romanian people and the plight of their economy. He discovered the best way to help them was to hire them for their crafts. Therefore, this property has been finished using Romanian marble, European cherry wood and wrought iron all hand crafted by individual people and villages.
The property is located just under the gondola on Ski Trail Lane. Our heated, back staircase leads you down from the house to only cross the street and ski out to the base of the mountain. Ski-in is just as simple.
The Gondola Suite has 1 king bed, queen sofa sleeper and twin sleeper. It has a full kitchen featuring a Viking gas range and pot filler. There are 2 flat screen TVs and gas fireplaces.
We are dog and kid friendly. THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE with wireless internet throughout. There is a laundry room on site for our guest's use.
We live in the main portion of the house, offering 5 private guest suites for nightly/weekly rental. (There is no shared living space.) A perfect setting for a multi-family trip, traveling together but each having a private suite & bathroom. We are steamboat pet friendly.c and extremely welcoming to dogs (sorry no cats) for a $75 per dog flat fee. There is a shared fenced in yard surrounding our guest suites. Currently, Steamboat/Hayden airport HDN, has non-stop service to Houston and Denver. Winter brings many more non-stop flights including daily Southwest flights!

Summary: Robin's place is perfection in every way; it is comfortable, well-stocked, and has everything you would need or want. This is honestly the type of place you don't want to boast about too much because then it will always be booked when you want to stay there. It has every creature comfort imaginable, seriously Robin has thought of everything you might want. The property is so dog-friendly, is tucked away, but also feels close to the village. We skied every day and the access to the slopes is unmatched. We go to Steamboat every year and this is sure to be the place we book for every trip!

Summary: Robin and John's property was absolutely heavenly! We were met by Robin as we drove up, and she warmly greeted us and personally showed us to our suite. When I opened the door, the suite was breathtaking for its beauty and layout. Interior design and furnishings were impeccable, functional, and very welcoming. It is always nice to receive what you paid for, but it is exceptionally pleasing to receive more than you had imagined! Our suite showed a classic and beautiful charm with real tiling work and unrivalled woodworking (fine cabinetry). The kitchen was furnished with everything we needed, all appliances worked, and the interior decorating (furniture, paintings, ornaments, etc.) were simply exquisite! I had numerous interactions with Robin, and each one was more pleasant than the previous. I want to note the beautiful fenced in yard, which was important to us since we had our 3 year-old Golden along. He was able to romp in the snow with a few other dogs without any fear on our part that our Golden would leave the property. I cannot say enough about this unbelievable find and memorable experience in the Steamboat Springs resort ski area. Also, there was assigned parking for each suite, so never a problem finding parking. Lastly, the other guests we met were so nice. One family, in particular, wanted us to schedule a return visit when they were there next year! We are forever grateful to Robin and John, and we sure hope to stay at their gorgeous property again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the Gondola Suite. Robin was very helpful and accommodating, the suite was comfortable and cozy, and it is easy to walk out to access the slopes and the walk back from the ski access point is also easy. ~5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and less than 10 minutes to a few breakfast spots, a brewery, and a burger place which made it easy to go downtown or grab food nearby. We had 4 adults and squeezed everyone in between the main bedroom and the pullout couches without running out of space. Great spot for a small group or a couple on a ski trip.

Summary: We had an amazing stay with Robin and John. The condo was super clean, equipped with everything we needed plus some. We even brought dogs and Robin and John thought of everything for them too! The location is a dream for skiing and super easy to walk to the slopes. We will definitely be staying again next time we’re in steamboat.

Summary: The apartment was very comfortable and convenient to the slopes (just a very short walk to short in/out access trail). We did not rent a car, so we relied on the city busses to get into town (about 1/4 mile walk to the bus stop). Owners were very helpful with a few questions before we arrived and a few while we were in town. The sleeper sofa wasn't very comfortable. Overall it was a great place for the location and price.
