Under the Gondola Guest Suites is located just under the gondola on Ski Trail Lane. Our heated, back staircase leads you down from the house to only cross the street and ski/hike/bike out to the base of the mountain. Ski/hike/bike-in is just as simple. We are dog and kid friendly. (sorry, no cats) THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE with wireless internet throughout. There is a laundry room on site for our guests use. Our Sleeping Giant Suite is cozy with beautiful views of the Gondola floating by and Sleeping Giant beyond. The dining table seats 4, with a kitchen area complete with coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher, but no oven/stove. There is a large gas grill outside on the covered balcony , that has a stove burner attached, for additional cooking options. Pots & pans as well as grill utensils are provided. The living area has flat screen TV and wall mounted fireplace. With a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out queen sofa bed in the living room, this is a great option for a family of 3 or 4.
We live in the main portion of the house, offering 4 private guest suites for nightly/weekly rental. (There is no shared living space.) A perfect setting for a multi-family trip, traveling together but each having a private suite & bathroom. We are steamboat pet friendly.c and extremely welcoming to dogs. There is a shared fenced in yard surrounding our guest suites. Currently, Steamboat/Hayden airport HDN, United and Southwest have non-stop service to Houston and Denver. Winter brings many more non-stop flights.
Walk down the back stairs and across the street to ski in and out on a groomed access trail to the base area. It is a nightly rate of $350 with a flat $75 per dog pet fee plus taxes.

Summary: Great host on site who was friendly and communicative. Dog bowls for food and water were laid out and dog waste bags were provided. 5 minute walk across the street to the slopes. The unit we stayed in was up two flights of stairs that were snow and ice free.

Summary: Had a great stay at Under the Gondola. Place was exactly as described and pictured. I have a 4 and 8 year old and the place was big enough for the four of us and all our ski gear. For skiing it is a short walk across the street and a parking lot and down a little hill to the ski access point. For experienced adults it is easy to cat track in and out to the main run, which leads down to both gondolas and the Christie. For the littles we had to walk out a bit on the trail to get down to start the day, maybe 5-10 mins, but getting back we could ski to the parking lot. Grill worked great for making breakfast on the side burner. Place is very clean. We walked the trail a couple of times down to the main ski village for dinner. Communication and the hosts were great. Overall a really great stay and we will be back.

Summary: Second year staying at this location and once again loved it all so much. Our dogs had a blast playing in the snow, Robin is so great, parking easy and no stress, ski in/ski out to Steamboat Gondola! Our kids leave early on their own and are tired from skiing all day/night. We haven’t had to get back in our car (the real vacation!) We have been spoiled with fresh snow. We can’t wait to come back!

Summary: We loved our time here. The space was lovely and had all we needed. Great location too! Walking distance to the base of the ski slope where there are lots of restaurants. Our hosts were very communicative and accommodating. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. Hope to be back!

Summary: The location is excellent with easy access to the ski slopes and the base area. Our suite was comfortable and very clean.
