Summary: The room was on the top floor overlooking the lake but the trees blocked most of the view. The size of the room was good and the bed was comfortable. It would have been good to have smaller pillows available in the room. I ended up rolling up a towel to make a smaller pillow. Meals were included in the stay and there was plenty of variety. Only real bummer is that I think I left my Prescription Progressive Glasses in the room and can't get anyone to pick up the phones & check!

Summary: The best thing about the entire stay was the water pressure in the shower head. The decor is very dated. The living room area couch and chair smelled very musty. So bad I couldn't sit there long do to my allergies. My nose and eyes were actually burning from the smell. The buffet had a wide variety of items. It was good for what it is. If we ate more Japanese cuisine it would have been great.

Summary: The play spot was so much fun with darts, billiards, ping pong and golf. The lake view was beautiful and the bed comfortable. It would be good to see some updates, ie. a key card rather than a huge key and a small store onsite the resort with daily necessities that the hotel does not provide. The body wash in the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell.

Summary: Last minute booking on busiest day of the year apparently but great welcome and extremely helpful staff helping with restaurant bookings, couriering rental skis across the country and much much more. Always service with a smile and rooms superbly furnished - very spoilt! Also good shuttle service to ski resort and to train station coping well with our groups piled up luggage!! We stayed in the new wing annexe - sheer luxury!

Summary: The hotel looked very grand from the exterior and the reception as well. The check in was relatively quick and the staffs were very nice. I was staying in the Japanese room, and corridor was very dark, long and narrow, and its extremely quiet at night, which was a bit freaky. The room itself is super spacious, clean and comfortable. Upon returning from dinner, the bed (futon) was already set up. I've upgraded my meal plan to the Japanese meal by e-mail them, and I was a bit unhappy that when I got to the restaurant, although they did book me in, but they did not prepare for the course which I have e-mailed them for, and they couldn't change it. However, the restaurant staff was very nice, knowing that I really wanted to try to Fukushima beef, they offered me a complimentary plate. (Though I had to say the whole meal didn't taste that great from a personal view) There's also a huge public bath/onsen (hot spring) inside the hotel, which was really really nice. It's got both indoor and outdoor. Note: The hotel is kind of in the middle of no where, and public transport is quite weak. Highly recommend you to make sure to catch the hotel shuttle on time to/from the Inowashiro station, I've missed mine, had to end up paying 770yen one way bus to the closest bus stop, and walked 1.5 hours to the hotel (Which wasn't too bad, because it's the Goshiki Numa trail). Other that the incident with the meal booking, I'm quite please with this hotel.
