This one of a kind family home is located on 130 acre New Spring Farm, a self-sustainable working farm and retreat space, that’s rooted in a fundamental connection with nature and the sacred land that surrounds it.
Situated in one of the most serene settings you'll find in Vermont, our home is adjacent to the New Spring Farm Barn Sanctuary, where we offer occasional classes, workshops and retreats. In addition to what's being offered in our Barn, we are occasionally on site working on the farm, tending to our animals and crops. Mostly however, things are as quiet and peaceful as you'd expect to find on such an expansive private property.
Our home is well suited for families and is equipped for young children. It features 3 inviting bedrooms, including 1 king bed and 2 queen beds, a luxurious bathtub, a spacious dining area adjacent to a well-stocked kitchen, and a living room (please note that the woodstove is not available) with incredible views of rolling pastures and mountains. Guests can relax into the serenity of this gorgeous Vermont Farm Retreat space. The peaceful atmosphere of this incredible property is perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains, New Spring Farm is on a quiet dead end dirt road that provides privacy, while still being only a mile from J.J. Hapgood general store and centrally located to multiple towns. A short drive to four ski areas - Stratton, Okemo, Bromley and Magic Mountain - Peru, VT is also conveniently located to a diverse spectrum of recreational enjoyment for every season. Most of the ski areas transform to adventure parks in the summer, including the infamous alpine slide at Bromley, mountain coaster and mountain biking at Okemo, and annual Wanderlust Yoga festival at Stratton.
Hapgood Pond is right around the corner, as well as Lowell lake for nearby swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding. Nearby Manchester boasts Designer Outlets for shopping. The Vermont Country Store in Weston is a must stop universal attraction, the Golf Club at Equinox is one of many beautiful golf courses close by, and the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show draws in equestrian lovers from far and wide.

Summary: We spent a lovely week at the farm house. The owner keeps the place pristine and well stocked with everything guests could want. It's a super relaxing environment that forces you to decompress. The house has stunning views and seems to have been tastefully renovated recently. The farm is busy and hosts a variety of classes in its barn, which about 75 ft away from the guest house. It didn't bother us at all. There are restaurants nearby and Bromley is about a 10 minute drive. This is a special place. Buy the farm produced eggs! Delicious.

Summary: This is one of the absolute best properties anywhere in the proximity of Stratton/Bromley/Magic. I’ve rented 10 different houses in that Peru/Winhall region and everything about this property and its owner is a top experience, especially with children. My wife agreed and she has quite high standards!

Summary: WOW! It’s rare in today’s world that something under promises and over delivers however, this property is exactly that! While the pictures clearly show a beautiful house and property it still doesn’t do justice to the true serene beauty! As frequent travelers to Vermont, we are very familiar with the area and the offerings and this property couldn’t be more well suited for a family or group who is looking for both privacy and convenience. Only one mile from a very well appointed general store and a stones throw to the town of Manchester you somehow managed to still feel like the only people on earth. Unique to this property is the variation in landscape; While other Rental properties were gorgeous, this particular house was set in such a way that you were able to enjoy the rolling hills at the base of the mountains giving you an optimal 360° view. Additionally, there was both a stocked trout pond and a rocky creek that flowed through the property, which was ideal for the children to play. As mentioned in the description it is a working farm so you also have benefit of cohabitating with their heard of cattle, ducks, and chickens. I would 100% recommend this rental Specifically for families with young children. The house is well appointed and immaculate but simplistic in a way that accommodates children of all ages with amenities such as a full sized toddler bed/crib and tons of quality toys that my kids enjoyed! 10/5 stars! thanks for the great stay!
