completely renovated in December 2017, incorporated; on the ground floor, a living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, a shower room and a toilet. All giving full foot access to a fenced green space and a large covered terrace flowered in fine weather.

Summary: Our experience at Daniele and Pascal’s house in Thannenkirch was a 5-star experience. Daniele and Pascal were charming, generous, friendly, and helpful which, of course, helped make our stay a memorable one. The house itself is a gem and we didn’t lack for anything. It’s close to most areas of interest in the Grand-Est and the beauty of the region filled our hearts. We can’t say enough about our 3 weeks at La Randonnee – highly, highly recommend it. Summary: Perfect house in small quiet village nestled amongst the stunning scenery and Alsace vineyards on the Route des Vins. The house was clean, well equipped with everything you need for a home away from home cleaning products, crockery, garden loungers everything included. Thank you Pascal also for the lovely cake and bottle of sparkly it was very much appreciated. Check in easy also. Very relaxing week away.

Summary: The cottage is wonderful with everything you would need, plenty of room inside and outside ( you can even sit outside, stay dry and watch the odd thunderstorm go over) and situated in a nice village with easy access to Strasbourg, Europa-Park. Castles, numerous beautiful villages and all within the Alsace wine route. It was great getting back to the cottage after a day’s adventure, kicking back and relaxing. Pascal and Danièle were lovely, warm and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage for anyone.

Summary: Excellent property set in the peaceful village of Thannenkirch. Amenities close by in the town of Ribeauville (supermarket, fuel, gift shops). Beautiful scenery of the Vosges Mountains and Alsace Vineyards. Property was comfortable, and everything of a high standard. This was our second visit to the property and we’ve booked already for 2020 - whatever time of year you visit the property has everything you could need for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Summary: Spent a week at this marvellous cottage. Every thing about it was just right. Despite the snow at the beginning of the week it was warm and cosy. Pascal and Danielle made us feel very welcome. Despite the language barrier everything was explained in full. The cottage had every thing we needed great walks from the backdoor that took in mountain trails to historic Chateaux old walled towns and immaculate vineyards. It is possible to take nice easy strolls into the village or long distance walks on well maintained paths that are well marked. The hot baths at Freiburg are well worth a visit and less than an hour away. The cottage was clean and obviously well maintained a wood burning stove and a well equipped kitchen kept us happy in the evenings. We will definitely put this on our places to return to. A big thank you to Pascal and Danielle for a great week.

Summary: La Randonnée was delightful; the location was a short drive through the vineyards to the famous Christmas villages, and our hosts Pascal and Danielle were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The gîte was fully appointed, so home-cooked meals in front of the fire at night were easily done and thoroughly enjoyed.
