This private home is an "Oasis" of calm and privacy...close to the ocean, with great access to Shoreline Park and the beach. Private yard and views on a quiet street... yet steps from the Ocean and Shoreline Park!
Great 3 Bedroom 1 Bath beach house in peaceful local neighborhood in convenient location adjacent to the Harbor, breakwater, wharf and funk zone. The house is only 100 steps to Shoreline Park, with easy access via wooden stairs to a great often secluded beach. There is a play area in the park for Kids! Walk, ride or drive a mile to the SB Harbor & the scenic Breakwater. Just a little further down the coastline is Stearn's Wharf, lower State Street and the popular "Funk Zone" area. The Funk Zone is now home to over 10 restaurants, brew houses, a bakery, fish market, over 15 winery tasting rooms and shopping.
Shoreline Park is 2 houses away - a local gem along a half mile strip of oceanfront land, made into a park in the 50's. It is so popular due to the easy walking along the ocean, a great updated kids play area, acres of grass, beach access, and even surfing at Ledbetter Point.
Ocean and island views from the kitchen, living rooms and one of the bedrooms, with a large south facing deck looking out on the ocean & islands beyond. Deck has seating for 6 and a seating area. Remodeled Kitchen, including most staples for your use, along with a dual fuel range and all of the tools to cook at home. Walk in glass shower in bath. 3 bedrooms - the Master, with a King-sized bed and slider door to the garden, the Ocean View room with a Queen size bed and the 3rd bedroom or office with a Single beds and a door to the tropical garden. There is a private deck in backyard with patio table and chairs accessible from Master bedroom and Office. There are 3 mature fruit trees - lime, lemon and tangelo available for your use, depending on the time of year!
Ocean Palms Oasis is less than 1/2 mile to Mesa shopping, the ever- popular Lazy Acres market ( boutique market with too many choices and prepared food), Vons Market, a CVS & coffee shops. The house is also close to many local restaurants, on the Mesa - the Rose Cafe, Mesa Burger, Ichiban Sushi, Alcazar Tapas Bar, Mesa Verde vegetarian, Corner Tap Brew House, Mesa Thai and at the Harbor and Stearn's Wharf area....including Tomas Italian, Brophy Brothers, The Breakwater, Harbor Restaurant, Santa Barbara Shellfish, the Lucky Penny, the Lark, and many more options . All are walk-able, if you are so inclined...

Summary: We loved staying at Ocean Palms! Only steps away from Shoreline Park, the ocean, and downtown Santa Barbara. The house itself has everything you need, it's spotless and well-appointed. The large outdoor deck is very private and south facing with ocean and island views. Communicating with the owner was seamless and was very responsive. We are already planning our next stay!

Summary: A second well enjoyed stay at this lovely quiet home with Ocean View! Walk out onto deck with citrus trees in the garden....take in the ocean! One block from Shoreline Park offers easy pathway walk straight to downtown along the ocean viewing sailboats. Access to beach via stairs... incredible tide pools and lovely vista north and south. A beautiful private spot to stay to experience the best of Santa Barbara. Home is well stocked for cooking. Thanks so much!

Summary: Very well cared for and well stocked house with private, peaceful fenced in yard. Brian is a great host _very considerate _excellent communication. This place is literally steps ( 100 yards )from a beautiful walking beach with a great park. We took walks on the beach twice a day. Everything we needed was there and well organized. It was hard to leave!

Summary: We stayed at this fantastic bungalow for 2 weeks this summer and had an amazing time. The place was exceptionally clean at check-in and Bryan even left some treats from the local store making us feel right at home! The kitchen was the best stocked of any rental I’ve stayed in which was great. The location is unbeatable if you’re looking for a peaceful stay in a nice neighborhood close to the ocean. Our child was thrilled there was a playground at the park just a block away and we loved our morning and evening walks along the ocean cliff path. The back deck also has views of the ocean (I missed this in the description) which was a wonderful surprise for us! The yard is beautiful and my child loved being able to pick fresh lemons from the tree. Bryan was an incredible host, was very easy to communicate with and even gave us some tips on fun local events happening while we were there. We are already thinking about how we can go back for even longer next summer!

Summary: This was by far our best rental experience. This is a special place, with an amazing location. It is a beautiful property, especially the amazing yard and garden. We enjoyed relaxing and having meals outside, with plenty of privacy and space in the back yard. The neighborhood is peaceful and locals were all very friendly. We were instantly immersed in Santa Barbara the culture and environment. Bryan is an extremely gracious and helpful host, offering help and advice from before we booked the property until after we had left. Communication was responsive and thorough, and all the recommendations were spot-on. He went far out of his way to ensure we had a spectacular time. The house is spotless and very well appointed. There were plenty of amenities and we found it easy to prepare meals. Beds were comfy and all towels and linens were fresh and clean. As described, it is a very short walk to the park and ocean. We found it a great home base for our adventures. It felt very much like a home, rather than a sterile rental house. If we find ourselves in the area again, this would be my first pick for a place to stay. 5+ Stars!
