Positive: Absolutely Perfect Stay – Couldn't Ask for More! We had the most incredible time at villa thallasa. The views are simply breathtaking — waking up to the sea every morning was a dream. The villa itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, with so many thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen was really well-equipped, which made cooking a pleasure. The beach is quite literally on your doorstep, making it ideal for lazy days by the water. What really stood out, though, was the personal service — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt completely at home. Despoina and takis are fantastic hosts at hand for anything you needed. They offered many recommendations for places to see including the local roman fish tank, boat trips from lerapetra to chrysi island and local tavernas to eat. When visiting the local tavernas and mentioning where we were staying the staff spoke very highly of the villa along with its hosts. Fantastic dinner recommendations one of our favourite being Taverna Psaropoula. The owner gave outstanding service, personal recommendations and even dishes to try. Poolside in the outside kitchen area, the huge bbq was a great hit. We went to local supermarkets and got recommendations from the butchers on different products to try. Washing off in the outside shower after a swim in the sea was a fantastic addition. The villa and the pool is clean and incredibly well maintained. An outside toilet and storage area for diving equipment and pool toys that visitors can add too made it impossible for our little one to get out of the pool each day. Every single thing has been thought about in great detail to ensure each visitor feels its a home away from home during their stay. Truly one of the best stays we've ever had. Highly recommend — you won’t ever want to leave 💙🤍

Positive: Perfectly matches the description! Great pool, great upstairs bedrooms, great lounge and kitchen. Lots of sheltered outdoor space. Hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Sorted out minor issues rapidly.

Negative: For us one of the mattresses was too firm! Swapped bedroom with other family members who didn’t have any problems with it. The bedrooms in the basement were nowhere as nearly impressive as the upstairs one.

Positive: The villa is beautiful and it is well equipped with all you need for a unique vacation. There is a large sheltered outdoor area which provides enough shade even on the hottest of days. The pool is well maintained, clean and of a good size. The best thing about he house is its proximity to the sea and the beautiful views. The beach is very close, sea was calm even on windy days and the water was crystal clear. It is a mixture of sand and stones, if your feet are not extremely sensitive you can do without shoes. There was not many people in the area, the beach was nearly empty most of the time. Try some local restarurants, we really liked Dionisos, which is a small family run taverna, with basic but very tasty local food. There is a supermarket in walking distance on the main road, with fresh bread every morning. Many thanks to the villa owner, Despoina. We had a wonderful time in her villa and would love to visit again.

Negative: Two of the rooms are located in the basement with almost no windows which might be a problem for some, it did not really bother us much.

Positive: If you arrive at 8:30pm in Heraklion and after picking up the rental and driving 1h20 to the villa and the owners are awaiting you with a freshly made Moussaka and some Greek Salad at around 11pm, what does that say about their hospitality? Correct: A LOT! A very warm welcome to the start of you vacation sets the perfect mood for a great experience ahead. The villa is magnificent, having a coffee in the morning overlooking the sea is indescribably beautiful. The pool is great, the terasse with outdoor fridge and barbeque is amazing and the garden is beautiful. The rooms in the villa are very nice, you have everything you need. Nearby there are some nice taverns that offer great local food. The beach variies depending on the season, it can be sandy or with little stones... but you can absolutely enjoy the sea almost on your own as there are not many tourists around. All in all we had a magnificent time.

Negative: There are some abandoned buildings nearby which bring a little negative touch to the optical appearance of the surrounding, but that is nothing of a major problem. I just wanted to mention it, so other guests are not surprised. Being in the villa, you will not be bothered by this at all. The villa feels like a small oasis. Furthermore, the beach is not like beaches in the carribean... and you do not have amenities like sunbeds or umbrellas. But there are beaches nearby who offer this. Also, be aware that you are a little off the main attractions like Heraklion or Rethymno. So, a rental car makes a lot of sense. Just keep in mind that you will have to cover some distance if you want to see something of the island. Ferma is a little remote, but that can also be something positiv if you want to enjoy the quite and the peaceful side.

Summary: All in all, an absolute recommendation!
