Positive: A real Italian delight devoid of corporate blandness. Laura was lovely and made sure we had a great stay. There are steps up to the accommodation but they were well lit and had a good hand rail.. The shower room was clean and spacious. Great views from balcony. Easy access by railway via Milan, Paris and London. Excellent double glazing meant our room was very quiet. Thank you Laura!

Positive: The close proximity to the ferry and local restaurants was an advantage. The host was friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Despite being so close to the busy ferry port, the room was quiet.

Negative: The room had only very basic tea/coffee making facilities and no fridge. If you're planning on enjoying a sunset view with a bottle of wine from the balcony, bring your own cork screw!

Positive: Property is very well located, walking distance to both the ferry dock, a lakeside walking path to the center of town, and train station. It has a great lakeside and mountain view from the rooms. Electric tea kettle, coffee (instant), tea and sugar were located in the bathroom. Though no meals (this is not a B&B) are provided, prepackaged tea cakes came every day at the coffee station.

Negative: Property was cold most of the time. Heat (radiator) did not have any controls, and system only came up to temperature a couple times a day.

Positive: Very easy to get to from the train, just walked down the hill. Restaurants downtown were great! Laura was an amazing host, she was readily available and accommodated our special needs. Loved the cottage and highly recommend!
