Situated at the centre of an old Kentish village just 2 miles from the historic city of Canterbury, Kath's Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore this fascinating corner of the country. Wander through 2000 years of history in Canterbury or visit wonderful old seaside towns like Whitstable, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Sandwich; pop across to Paris for lunch by Eurostar from Ashford or up to London for dinner and a show. Or just take a walk from the cottage, through apple orchards and into one of the largest area of ancient broadleaved woodland in Southern England and home to a wide variety of wildlife, including Nightjars, Nightingales, Woodpeckers and Woodcocks. And on the way home, call in at the Golden Lion Pub just 100 yards from Kath's Cottage for a delicious meal washed down with a pint of Shepherd Neame Kentish ale.

And if you get an irresistible urge to wash and iron while you are on holiday you will be delighted to find the washer/dryer plus the iron and ironing board.
The light and airy bathroom is equipped with a modern bath with shower over. All towels are provided as also is a hair dryer.
For news and entertainment there is a large flat-screen TV, a DVD player, Ipod dock and free wireless broadband. And for those who prefer cycling to walking there are two mountain bikes which visitors are free to use.

Summary: Four of us stayed at Kath's cottage for a long weekend and it was great. Brilliant location for visiting Canterbury, Herne Bay, Margate to name a few. In addition, it is just across the road from the pub that does lovely food. It was nice and clean. Stocked with all the basics that you would need from tea, coffee, sugar to dishwasher tablets etc. A real home from home. Check in and out nice and easy, Colin very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend this property.

Summary: We loved our stay at Kath’s Cottage. It’s has a lovely, homely feel. Really nice place to stay, very comfortable and well furnished. We had everything we needed - thank you so much! Sturry has beautiful countryside and walks (woodlands and fields) direct from the doorstep. Short drive to the sea or to Canterbury or wonderful wildlife parks. We would love to come back as so much more still to explore!

Summary: This cottage is so well equipped and feels like a home away from home just like we wanted for our weekend break. We cannot fault anything in the property and the location is great. Canterbury is only a short drive away and so is the fabulous coast. Colin the host was great and we even had a chance to get into the property earlier which gave us the opportunity to get even more out of our stay. The local pub is only a stonethrow away.
