Summary: Two years ago we stayed for an extended weekend, last year for a week and this summer for 30 days per the new rental rules. First and last week = vacation, two middle weeks = I (the wife) stayed and worked remotely from this "office" with the most amazing views and background noise...waves crashing on the shore. We love this cabin! No-frills but oh so functional. Everything is incredibly well thought out both for function and also to fit the Vintage property. A big part of "getting away from it all" is to live the more minimalist lifestyle that this cabin brings. The yellow Muskoka chairs on the bluff dot the i. Watching Orcas, Humpbacks, sea lions, seals, otters from those chairs (or from the cabin door) is beyond amazing. Not to mention sunrises to the left, sunsets to the right, Olympic Peninsula straight ahead, boats out fishing, the odd tug boat, freighters and cruise ships make for never ending entertainment. Lots to explore in the area as well. We were sad to head back to the mainland and our stay can again this time be summed up in just a few words...Balm For The Soul. Until next time Vintage Sooke Cabin...
