Positive: Our stay at Vista Verde in Lanquín was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. A huge thank you to Susana, who went above and beyond by finding and posting a lost toy monkey all the way to Lake Atitlán – such a kind and thoughtful gesture we’ll never forget. The food was lovely – everything on the menu was fresh and full of flavor. The pool was another highlight, offering stunning views and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. They also made organizing tours and transfers so easy, which made our trip smooth and stress-free. Vista Verde is more than just a place to stay – it’s a warm, memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Positive: A beautiful place with amazing staff. There is a pool and a short walk to a private place by the river to swim. They have everything you require.
Negative: You must order from the lodges menu. The centre of town is uphill to get to street food and restaurants. Access to hot water for tea and coffee would have been nice.
Summary: A lovely relaxing stay with fantastic, attentive, funny, staff.

Positive: Amazing place. Nice common area to meet other travelers, good swimming pool and the staff is the friendliest ever. Try the artisanal chocolate they sell at the bar. All the money goes to the woman making it 😊

Positive: I was skeptical after reading the Google reviews about this hostel. However, I was very pleasantly surprised because the place is truly beautiful. It’s a shame that the photos don’t showcase it better. There are plenty of spots to relax among the trees, a spacious and welcoming area for playing pool, eating, playing foosball, and reading in hammocks. The view is also amazing, and you’re completely surrounded by nature. The pool is fantastic, offering a stunning view of the mountains. As for the accommodations—particularly the dorms, since that’s what I stayed in—you have to appreciate simplicity. The beds are comfortable, but the sheets could be nicer, and the blanket provided is a bit thin for the colder nights. That said, if you enjoy a cabin-like atmosphere, you’ll love it! I didn’t try the activities offered, as I found cheaper options elsewhere, but the food was good, and the prices were reasonable compared to other hostels. I was also pleasantly surprised by the staff, despite some negative reviews I had read. In the end, everyone was very kind, and the service was great. If you’re looking for a simple yet charming place to relax at a fair price, then Vista Verde is exactly what you need!
