Positive: You can’t beat the view of the lake and sunsets. Excellent location! It was too hot when we were there to use the outdoor patio space, but there is a table and chairs as well as a BBQ. Also, five stars for the owner, who always answered my calls and took care of my concerns promptly. We accidentally locked the keys in the house and he got us back in within 20 minutes. Loved that there were laundry facilities on premises- very convenient! The air conditioning works very well. It was 114 degrees outside and 73 degrees inside- just make sure to turn on the air conditioning in the loft. The place has plates and cutlery so no need to pack anything. The refrigerator works great- keeps everything very cold- but there’s no ice maker.
Negative: When we initially walked into the property, we were met with many “daddy long legged spiders” in their webs. They were in almost every corner and ledge of the house, and even under the bathroom cabinet and kitchen cabinets. Maybe it was just the time of year we went- mid July. So before we moved any of our stuff in we had to clean out all the webs and live spiders. Couldn’t reach the high ones. Also, we didn’t feel comfortable walking on the floor without socks or shoes because when we did, there were sharp things we stepped on- and we stepped on what appeared to be pieces of dog food on the floor next to the couch. So not sure if they vacuum or swiffer between renters. The couch and chair in the living room is old and dirty. There was mouse poop on the outside counter. We cleaned it, and it was there the next morning, so recommended an exterminator. On an upside, there were cute bunnies and quail right outside the patio.
