4 Bedroom House in Town of Varick, Romulus

Come stay at this gorgeous home (new build in 2022) on the east side of Seneca Lake. Enjoy the outdoors with 100 feet of beach frontage and large front yard. Walking into the house there are huge windows showcasing the lake views. The living and kitchen area feature a cozy seating area with a well stocked kitchen. Custom woodworking and features are found throughout the house- from custom oak trim to exposed copper in the showers.
The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. The bath has an easy to access walk in shower. The downstairs master features a king bed and walk in closet. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen and twin bed (sleeping 3). Upstairs, the master suite has incredible lake views with a walk-in shower and walk-in closet. The 4th bedroom has a queen bed, with a twin mattress in the "sleeping nook" (see pictures). This bedroom sleeps 3. The 3rd bathroom, which is upstairs, features a tub/shower.
There is a separate game room that has a game table for board games and cards, a television with a DVD player (and DVD's), and a foosball table.
Yard games including corn hole, croquet, bocce and Can Jam are available for your use.
The house sits on a "bluff" that is about 8' high. There are 20 steps to the beach as well as a slope down to the lake that can be walked. The beach has small stones, and walking into the water requires beach shoes, or old sneakers as it is rocky. You can enter the water off the dock, if you don't like wading. Enjoy campfires on the 100 feet of beach while viewing the stars or watching the birds. On the bluff we have added a gas fire bowl surrounded by Adirondack chairs for another great spot to enjoy the view.
There is a permanent dock with a ladder at the end. There is also a floating mat (Lily pad) to enjoy tied to a buoy, once the season gets warmer.
The entry outdoor lights are motion activated, or turn on at dusk, in case your arrival is late. In addition there is one security camera located outside the storage room on the right side of the “game room” building facing the road.
While building this home, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area restaurants, breweries, wineries, hiking and water activities. We hope you will as well and include some new activities you find in our guest book!

Summary: Before writing this review I reread the 20 written reviews dating back to Summer 2022. All of those reviews, each of which gave the property and owners a 10 out of 10 rating, was accurate in our experience. The home was custom-built on the old foundation in 2022 and features high ceilings and large bedrooms. All the trim is done in quarter-sawn white oak. The kitchen island and dining table are made out of gorgeous wormy chestnut. All these features, along with the ample amenities provided by the hosts and easy access to the lake and dock, made for a very comfortable and enjoyable vacation!

Summary: This home was absolutely beautiful! All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were large and had plenty of space. Beds were very comfortable and lots of pillows provided. The kitchen was large with an amazing view of lake. The house extremely well stocked with everything we needed. Spices, dishes, cooking utensils, soaps, paper towels, laundry needs everything was provided! The game room was fun and the kids spent a lot of time there. There was a great porch with a lot of seating we could enjoy in the evenings or during rain. We used the kayaks, paddle boards and lily pad provided and enjoyed the lake The only thing that was a bummer is that the lake was not really accessible from the "beach" as it is VERY rocky and not easy to walk in. We had toddlers and elderly with us which made the water inaccessible to them. We were expecting the kids to be able to play on the beach area and that wasn't really possible. The only way to really get in was off the pier. We did love sitting at the end of the pier and watching the water and sunsets. Overall, while the beach was a bummer, we really enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with the house and how well it was stocked! I would recommend staying here but explain the water/beach area better as it's not usable for entering/playing in the water.
