Stroll through the quaint village of Southold (founded 1640, oldest English settlement on Long Island) or the bustling seaport of Greenport and discover the region’s growing arts scene, exploding artisanal foods options and wonderous farm stands. You’ll soon have your favorite vineyard, farm stand, cheese place, coffee roaster and personal oyster supplier… and there goes the afternoon.
Alternatively, pick up your shellfish permit and go clamming right off the dock outside the house.
