7 Bedroom House in Kismet, Bay Shore

UNLESS they are part of a family unit, All guests must be at least 24 years old (not negotiable). I rent several ways. A full week is either Friday 5 pm till Friday 10 am or Monday 2 pm till Monday 10 am. A weekend is Friday 5 pm till Monday morning at 10 am. The last way I rent is a Monday 2 pm till Friday 10 am midweek. This slice of paradise has all the bells and whistles with 2 full bathrooms, ac, wi-fi, 2 flat panel SMART tv's, and 2 washer/dryers. The galley kitchen has a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and other amenities. The large dining room and huge living room are great for entertaining. There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor and 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Each of the 7 bedrooms (all 12" memory foam mattresses) have a full and a twin bed with the exception of one bedroom that has 3 twin beds and 2 others with 2 full beds in each. The upstairs den and bar area with extra fridge and sink comes in handy as well. Special reduced off season rates!

Summary: Greg, the owner, is easy to work with and close by if issues It’s the perfect place for young adults who are looking for lots of comfortable sleeping and space to spread out and hang out It’s no frills and clean and comfortable. Summary: everything was fine but having stayed at many other fire island properties we expected bikes to be available and basic spices and things like that in the kitchen. might be nice if you warn people ahead of time just so they are prepared. but everything else was just fine.

Summary: Great spot for a large multi-family group. Good location mid-point between the bay and the ocean, with a nice large outdoor area for hanging out. We gave the kids the upstairs 3 bedrooms, and the adults the downstairs 4 bedrooms, which worked out well. Basic and clean accommodations that worked well for our group.

Summary: We had a large reunion after a horrible COVID year and 1/2 of not seeing anyone. The owner was fantastic, and responsive to my communications, and did everything possible to make our stay a great one. He also rents bikes next door which was very convenient. We would absolutely stay again. Very spacious. Upstairs deck and extra kitchen were really helpful with a large group.

Summary: The Taj Mahal at Kismet was as advertised by Greg. There were plenty of beds and seating for our large group. It is a great location with easy access to both the bay and the ocean. Greg was very responsive to any questions we had or anything we needed (e.g. he quickly brought over a full propane tank for the grill when we needed a refill). He let us borrow his wagon to haul all of our stuff to and from the ferry which was super helpful. Central air worked great. Having a second fridge in the upstairs kitchen space was awesome. There are two stackable washer/dryers that generally worked well except the downstairs dryer was quite squeaky and may need repair. Adding a fence or something to close off the patio would be a big plus for families with young kids. Including some additional kitchen utensils and serving dishes would be a big perk. Other things that could be helpful at the house would be board games, beach chairs, and a beach wagon. Greg was a very responsive, helpful host, and a pleasure to work with.

Summary: We were extremely happy at the Kismet Taj Mahal. The location was great and the size was more than enough for our group of 20+. On top of this, Greg was a great host and was very responsive anytime we needed something. To be fully transparent, I'll warn that the beds are not the comfiest, but overall the accommodations for a group of our size were perfect. Highly recommend and hope to stay again soon!
