Positive: Location and space in the bedroom were bonuses!
Negative: The rooms were cold and there didn't seem to be any way to override the radiators (with the exception of the bedroom). The log burner was great but we ended up using a lot of fuel.

Positive: The cottage as a whole was very well decorated and clean
Negative: We weren't allowed to have the heating on. I rang when we arrived as it was so cold and was told by Graham that he would ask his wife to put the heating on but they didn't. We didn't want to light the wood burner, leave the cottage and leave it alight. I emailed Graham again the next morning and he told me it was set at 19 deg for two hours in the morning and four at night but would ask his wife to set it at 22, but they didn't. The upstairs bathroom radiator was hardly ever warm and there was a patch of damp on the bathroom wall. The one in the kitchen was set at 7 and it never came on despite the kitchen smelling a bit musty and having a stone floor. This is the 1st time I've ever had to complain about any property on booking. Com. The temperature last week was 12 and got to a maximum of 14 in Hawes. My partner and I feel really disappointed at the way we were treated.

Positive: Lovely location in the small, historic town of Hawes, close to many super hiking trails and with excellent views. Wether Fell View is a spacious cottage, well equipped with many facilities including made-up wood-burning stove and two TVs. Comfortable, with new carpets. The kitchen is unusually well kitted out, with big fridge-freezer, range and washing machine as well as many utensils, much crockery and cutlery, though no dishwasher. The large bedroom is generously furnished; many hangars in the wardrobe. We used the well stocked Spar supermarket, several pubs, ice-cream parlour, chippie and Tuesday market, all within 2 minutes' walk. A lovely drive of some 20 minutes took us to the Ribblehead viaduct and starting points for hiking each of the Three Peaks.
Negative: Just a few minor details. Despite high outdoor daytime temperatures, the living area was cool in the evenings. The electric heating was not adjustable and couldn't be turned on, so the wood-burner was needed. That seems not to have been set up quite correctly as the air vents needed adjustment before it would get going. Once adjusted, it worked well on several evenings. There's no two-pin socket for charging of razors/toothbrushes (the owners said an adaptor had been taken); the light above the bathroom mirror required USB charging before it worked; there was no soap/gel in the shower. A few doors creak: their hinges need oiling.
Summary: Very good and well equipped spacious cottage in prime location for the Yorkshire Dales.

Positive: This cottage is amazing It is so well equipped I easily whipped up a Christmas dinner in the kitchen it has everything you could want. The log burner makes everywhere so cozy and the supplied wood is such a bonus. The location is just excellent plenty of walks from the door step. I really appreciated the little decorations for Christmas and the gifts that were left for us. I'm hoping too come back in warmer weather too enjoy the outside area.

Positive: Lovely cottage, great views, Super comfy bed we've never slept so good on holiday before. Clean Great location
Negative: Excellent stay but a couple little things to think about, Could do with a bigger mat for when you go in the front door. The whole first bit as you step in would be better with big rug or hard floor, just because of scared we'd touch the carpet. Toaster didnt work. It didnt bother us though but just so you know for others. Again shower didnt bother us personally but for someone more shy around there partner maybe frosted glass on shower because its open on view on the landing
