Summary: This was our second stay at Willowmere cottage - we love it. It's a perfect location, right on the edge of lake Rotorua, and nice and cozy with the fire going in winter. Super close to Rotorua for entertainment and amenities.

Summary: Family of four adults. We loved Willowmere Cottage. It was warm, felt safe, had all the mod comms, kayaks, great lighting. The house was huge so we all had our own space. The water front was such a treat, with bird life happy to visit. The wifi was a bonus, and sky tv so my husband could watch sky darts. Loved the fire place. No noise at night just the gentle water lapping on the shore. Bathroom was massive with lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner supplied. Thanks for lending us this cozy perfect slice of paradise for three nights 💕

Summary: Enjoyed our stay, but property really could do with more updating, very very dated. We could see some things have been improved recently, but the top oven did not work for example and crockery could be replaced, I don't like cracked and stained cups. When we first entered there was a very musty smell, maybe an air purifier might help. There was a lot of cobwebs outside. Inside the property was clean, the view lovely and the bird life enjoyed. I still would stay here again.

Summary: This was a lovely weekend away, a beautiful view of the lake. Especially worth waking up to enjoy the sunrise. Very clean, had everything we needed. Water pressure average, a struggle with my long thick hair but my family members with short hair found it fine. Loved that they provided many heaters as it did get cold. They had them in all the bedrooms and was very happy with the one in the lounge. The fireplace was lovely, added to the atmosphere. Good location. Overall, it was lovely, charming and would love to come back.

Summary: Great spot and well priced for the quality but we struggled to stay warm. Kitchen and dining area is cold and had trouble keeping the fire hot enough with damp wood. More blankets are needed. Only 1 role of toilet paper provided. A little more cleaning of windows and frames would be nice too.

Summary: It was a lovely location and perfect for what we needed. Beds comfortable enough, amenties all ok. I do however think the owner needs to invest some of the $300+ per night fee in this property as it is very poorly maintained. Also there is little point to having a fireplace if the wood is uncovered outside and wet... all it does is hiss, not light a fire!!! The ceiling above the fire looks like it coud collapse! When we went to leave our vehicle became stuck in a foot deep hole of mud, right beside where you park the cars where we were backing around.. very annoying and unnecessary if you just maintained it, applied some gravel etc... Small changes could greatly improve the property.. a splash of paint and some new curtains wouldn’t go astray.
